A much-needed long walk with @SharonGoodwin17, @GoodwinLyra and Max on my day off yesterday. The big thaw is nearly complete, and milder temperatures and birdsong all suggested that spring is on the way. We hope.

Out for my daily walk with @GoodwinLyra along a stretch of the Bolton/Bury canal when we came across these. Shocking to discover these dead fish in close proximity. I wonder what has caused this?

Today would have been my dad's 80th birthday. When Covid struck, the plans for a big party changed. He died suddenly in April and the plans came to an abrupt end. Nevertheless, thinking of him today and wishing him a happy birthday.
