Backstory - When Bush invaded Iraq, to many people, the idea of "liberating" the civilians while killing thousands of them & destabilizing the region seemed hollow and, uh, bullshitty, especially with DIck Cheney's conflicts of interests re the valuable oil resources there.

Unfinished TV Funhouse cartoon from 2003, about the Iraq war. Here we are in another war, with a stated intent of liberating an oppressed people, & many questioning the sincerity of that intent. Hoping & praying this one, if it must continue, has a better result than that one -RS

Here's Chris Finch on the Wolves' rebounding issues of late and Julius Randle's effort on the glass "not being good enough". "We just gotta get a rebound, and we can't. There's like a lag time from the time that the shot goes up... It's been that way for a while. It's just not good enough... Julius has three defensive rebounds, that's not good enough. Just not good enough." Was interesting to hear Finch name Randle specifically -- because he has historically gone out of his way, more than with any player in my time covering Finch's coaching tenure, to not critique Randle publicly.

Good Guys Wear Black (1978) Streaming on MGM+ Much less action-oriented as his later films would be, I feel compelled to give this political espionage thriller props as it was the deciding film for Chuck Norris to go into acting full time. He had been the lead in Breaker Breaker a year earlier, but had still been hedging his bets on the direction of his life. He was in the process of establishing a new kickboxing league, and would cite that choosing to star in this over the league would change the trajectory of his life. So in essence, we should thank this film in part to making him into the legend that he was, is, and forever will be. Granted, a longabout way to say, I enjoyed the film 😆

It's much more likely that this is, all right, If Kyler beats out JJ, JJ is probably the two. Carson's the three. If it's not a fit for Kyler in the system and JJ beats him out, JJ starts. Mentioned here I think the Vikings run game can and will be better with Murray under center. Above average efficiency last year despite ranking 25th in light box rate.
