The Neanderthal museum in Germany insists that humans are 1 species with no races. Just around the corner, it also claims that these 6 birds are 6 different races. I am convinced that smart curators sometimes leave clues for other smart people.

“Young people should bear nearly all the costs of having a functioning society, pay the most in taxes, and get the least in benefits.” This is genuinely a widespread position across the political spectrum.

In 1887, The Washington Post supported the idea of naming the [now Memorial] bridge after both Confederate General Robert E. Lee and Union General Grant. Per @NationalMallNPS: “Envisioned by modern planners as a memorial to those who have died in military service to the country, it is also intended to join, both physically and symbolically, the North and the South, as this bridge provides a connection between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee Memorial that is emblematic of post Civil War reunification.”

Trump's Arc de Triomphe would lionize Gen. Robert E. Lee's mansion and obscure the Lincoln Memorial. nytimes.com/interactive/20…

Frederick the Great recapping our situation after I filled him in: "So the substance which powers the horseless carriages of the American colonists is in the hands of Nadir Shah's descendants? And your leader is a Pfälzer? That's the only part of this that makes sense to me."

The reason it exists is that Indians used to be grouped with white people as "Caucasians" on the US census. This made them ineligible for state privileges for nonwhites, such as SBA loans, so they successfully lobbied to be grouped with Orientals as "Asians."

Calling Pakistanis and Japanese both “Asians” is like calling Afrikaners and Zulus both “Africans”, or calling Norwegians and the Sentinelese “Earthlings”. It’s a completely useless term that now exists for no other reason than to intentionally erase blatantly obvious distinctions between groups while having a smug sense of superiority for doing so. @CovfefeAnon and others have brought up that this kind of deceptive discourse just further vindicates that older terminologies actually existed for a reason. “Oriental” needs to make a massive comeback.
