Last week I decided to throw my support behind @AndyBurnhamGM for leadership of the Labour Party and on to PM.

Reflections on today. I think there were between 50,000-60,000 on the Unite the Kingdom demo, way down on last September’s event.
It also felt low energy. There was a buzz about September, probably because the size of it caught people by surprise. Expectations were higher now and the event didn’t really live up to it.
The banning of 11 overseas speakers had a real impact on the demo. It distracted the organisers in the final week and the calibre of those who filled their spots were poor.
Last September, Elon Musk both helped build the demo and spoke. His absence was noticeable this time.
More worryingly for Stephen Lennon, his supporters are beginning to see through his money making exercise. He’s admitted to receiving $300,000 from two people for the demo, plus the hundreds of thousands he raised from supporters. On top of that were all the merchandise, bucket collections etc..
He will claim millions - but he will be lying.
More importantly though, and unlike last September, we have stood up to his narrative of division and hate. Britain is a better place than Lennon portrays. He failed, we are stronger than him

A second Union Flag has been raised outside of Essex County Council’s headquarters in Chelmsford, following control of the authority transferring to Reform UK after last week’s elections. The move brings Essex County Council in line with Reform UK national policy, which only permits the Union, national, county or armed forces flags to fly at council buildings under its control. “Today we have raised a second Union Flag at County Hall in Chelmsford. It was a proud moment to see it flying high, representing all of the nations that make up our wonderful United Kingdom.” Cllr Peter Harris, Leader of the Council’s Reform UK group and County Council Leader Elect. The flag of Ukraine that had previously flown since 2022 has been replaced, and following discussions with the Ukrainian community in the county, will find a new home. Councillor Harris said: “The replacement of the Ukraine flag does not diminish the support and generosity that Essex residents have shown the people of Ukraine since 2022 and I know this will continue.”

UPDATE: My medical licence suspension review is next Wednesday – 20 May – 9AM – St James Building, Manchester. As many of you know, besides being arrested 5 times, the pro‑'israel' lobby also reported me to the British medical regulator @GMCUK. I won the first investigation. The lobby escalated their vexatious complaints and began smearing me in the press. The GMC opened a second investigation. The lobby demanded I be referred to a tribunal (to place conditions on or suspend doctors while under investigation). The GMC referred me to an Interim Orders Tribunal at the @the_mpts. I won. The lobby demanded I be re‑referred. They demanded my suspension. Health Secretary @wesstreeting - who is funded by the 'israel' lobby - made unfounded public comments against my win. He also threatened the tribunal with lawfare. Eight days later, the GMC referred me to the tribunal – AGAIN. The second tribunal suspended me for 15 months on 26 November 2025. Next week at the review, I will put forward my case again. The existing suspension can be maintained, replaced with conditions, or revoked. Remember: I have never had a single patient complaint in my 7‑year career. This is political persecution. Because I opposed genocide and supremacism. This is a public hearing.
