@_RyanDeere @JasonGregor Tell that to the hundred of imperial oil staff laid off when the companies headquarters in Calgary was shut down and moved to Houston. All the profits flow out. Barely any stay in

@JasonGregor Yes, the companies make profits, which in turn get reinvested into other projects, which create employment. It’s the feds who create the policy that drives away investment, overregulates industry and makes us uncompetitive globally.

New report out today shows that Alberta is being targeted by foreign interference operations from both Russia and the United States. Foreign actors are amplifying separatist messages in a deliberate attempt to destabilize Canada and undermine our democracy. We need to fight back!

A very disturbed young man killed several children, but CTV and all legacy media continue to insist on calling him a woman. There’s a little girl named Maya still in hospital after he fired a bullet through her brain, but they call him a she. What an era we live in.

I do have a simple question for y'all - do the numbers line up? 301k with thousands of volunteers literally stationed all over the province, large events with long lines (even in Arizona) and constant traffic to petition signing locations. 430k with much less volunteers, only a few pop up stations, no large events and 1 man in an RV travelling Alberta. I know that everyone with SFA followed the rules down to the blue pen. The scale of these 2 organizations do not align with the outcome. It makes me seriously question some things. I'm happy that the official number is over 700k signatures on citizen led referendum on a seperation question. Time for a referendum on Alberta Independence! Congratulations to Albertans! Thank you to everyone volunteering with @stayfreealberta A very special thank you to Mitch and Jeff.

This is criminal negligence. People get killed out there and its not reported. I spent one Christmas trapped in Revelstoke with avalanches on either side of our biggest and only hwy. It really happens. Tons on snow covers the road, closing it. Sometimes the first people run straight into, or get out to look, and the next avalanche sends them to Jesus.

POILIEVRE: "Oil is high. It's about $100 a barrel. You know when it was last $100 a barrel? In 2014. And you know what the gas price was then? A buck thirty-eight. Forty-five cents cheaper. Even though the world oil price was exactly what it is today."

@KristinRaworth As a centre right voter whose vote is up for grabs, I told everyone neshi was a terrible pick, he is not likeable at all. Turns out I was right, because he won't and hasn't brought in anyone from the middle. NDP with the ultimate own goal not choosing rakhi.

Stewart Johnson and the CFL owners are really testing my patience as a fan of this league. The care is slowly escaping me. This doesn't bring in new fans, in fact non-fans will just mock you for this, and you piss off current fans. Interesting business model.

I thought the CFL did a good job with the rule changes they announced last year. This new playoff format is awful and ruins the look of the league. Why play the regular season? I need someone to give me an explanation to how this is better than the current format.

@WarMonitor3 Iranian F-5s “damaging” a US base? NBC needs to show the wreckage and radar logs or it’s just recycled propaganda. Aging 60s jets don’t ghost modern US air defenses without miracles. Show proof or stay quiet.

Premier Danielle Smith says they aren't holding a referendum on permanent DST because they just don't have enough time ahead of the fall change. Adds that Albertans will see they'd rather have later sunsets than 4 AM sunrises during the summer.

@AaronAdams3412 @ian__403 @timhoven Lol why do you care about summer daylight? Whether the sun is up at 430 or 330 who cares? Either way I'm still sleeping. Why would I want the sun to rise at 1030am in the winter if I live in GP? You guys are delusional

No! Permanent DST would delay sunrise in Calgary and Edmonton past 8am for 5 months, past 8:30am for 4 months, and past 9am for 3 months. It would delay Calgary’s latest sunrise to 9:41am, and Edmonton’s latest sunrise to 9:51am. Permanent MST is needed instead, it would not delay sunrise.

@cspotweet 1) The No vote was split between people who wanted permanent standard time and people who wanted to keep changing clocks. If you've decided not to change clocks, daylight time is far more popular. 2) There were quite a few NDPers telling people to vote No just to oppose Kenney.
