🇦🇺 Australia: Two Teens Charged with Terrorism Offences Two teenagers — a 16-year-old boy from Sydney and a 17-year-old from Melbourne — have been separately charged with terrorism offences after authorities found extremist material - including an ISIS flag - with alleged plans to facilitate violent acts. The Sydney teen faces multiple counts of collecting and making documents to facilitate terrorist acts, plus possessing violent extremist material. The Melbourne boy was arrested after authorities tracked the ISIS flag package to his address — he’s charged with collecting terrorism material and importing a prohibited item, facing up to 15 years in jail. He has been remanded in custody. Radical Islamist ideology is still reaching and radicalising young Australians. This needs to be treated with far greater urgency.
