Zoomers on here are like "I'm 27 and can't buy a $400k house or afford to spend $50 on doordash, the system is rigged!" Like kid, I had 2 roommates till 29, and then 1 till 33 when I bought my own house. Cooked and meal prepped 90% of what I ate for 20 years. Y'all are bitches

@Awk20000 It’s literally so much more expensive to make a sandwich yourself and there’s so much food waste.

There are currently ~487,000 home listings in USA under $250,000. Please stop lying that you *must* spend half a million dollars.

@Cernovich It’s the fact that boomers say we can pack a lunch and save money for a home… Min. Wage is $7.25 in my home state, gas is $5/gallon. We’re pissed because we’ve BEEN making sandwiches… now it’s like what’s the point.

Boomers and Gen X packed lunches. Not sure why this stuff enrages zoomers. Boomers lived frugally. Going out to lunch was a big deal. Most didn't have long lunch breaks, especially blue collar. You didn't DoorDash, dinners were made at home. I don't even DoorDash in 2026.

@DonutOperator Go back to your lazy slop videos with 1 minute ads at the beginning of each, you aren’t living in the same world as us. (As a 3 time Trump voter, I’m voting blue now because of people like you)

@_nomadic_soul @BrutalAsBucs Jesus Christ you just made me a democrat. Republican Party is washed trying to tell me my ancestors were better off living to 29 and eating bread. Gen z is never going to elect a republican again

Meg | The Feminist Budget Mom
Here’s an example of my lunch, $0.16 worth of eggs and homemade bread that took maybe 0.40 cents for the whole loaf?? (I already ate over 2 other pieces lol), so let’s say $.25 for lunch. Would pair with a 20c banana but I already ate so much bread oops. I’m the one who eats the least expensive food and my kids eat the most expensive.

Nobody talks about how much we pay for gas to get to and from work and the store, and no, I can’t take the 2hr bus ride each day. Or my power bill that eats away my grocery budget… or my non-employer matched 401k… or my health insurance that’s gone up 1200%. And I haven’t even started calculating rent. People are totally missing the point saying if I make a sandwich I’ll be wealthy. Another Boomer L

My first job paid me $6.25/hour. And I appreciated every cent I made. When I see the wages Target and Costco pays I smile. Gen Z has no idea how good they have it. What did you get paid at your first job?

Nobody mentions my $100/gas per week to get to work and back, my $200 electric bill for an apartment (I don’t run a lot of stuff), my $2500/mo rent, and my non-employer matched 401k that I contribute to every paycheck… Clearly yall aren’t living in the same world as the rest of us.
