A Czech billionaire has bought Royal Mail, Italy owns a UK rail franchise, India runs the steel industry and now a Chinese infrastructure group is set to pick up Thames Water for next to nothing. Is this what Brexiteers meant by Take Back Control?

REVEALED: The huge list of freebies and perks channel migrants are entitled to once they land in Britain. Meanwhile, Rachel Reeves is taxing you for every last penny. The Conservatives are the only Party with a plan to stop this madness.

Do petrol stations need to adapt to survive the EV transition? This Texaco filling station is on a big plot, but has no rapid chargers, but lots of other facilities such as a car wash, Amazon safebox area, launderette, shop and more. Lots of space around the back too. The second picture shows a plot which has been wasteland for decades. Whatever was there before has long gone, but it’s recently been granted planning permission for an EV charging hub right next door to the Texaco filling station. Norway shows many filling stations adapting to the EV transition with rapid chargers, and some have entirely removed the liquid fuel pumps and replaced them with rapid chargers. But what will become of those filling stations that do not adapt? Will their trade fritter, will they close, or will they be bought up and converted?

@robprogressive Agree but its more than double taxation, we pay tax for employees, pay tax when we earn, we pay tax on goods, we pay tax when we sell, we pay tax on our pensions and then to pay tax when we die is disgraceful.

Perhaps the most disgraceful tax is Inheritance tax You’ve already paid tax on what you’ve earned, working hard over the years So it’s really wrong that when you die, the recipient has to then pay tax on it again Not only is it double taxation, but it makes their start in life that much harder & penalises the next generation

@l33d5un1t3d1 …and we give #planning permission to new warehouses and industrial buildings with no conditions to fit solar. These buildings mean more traffic, more carbon, surely some form of conditional offset should be imposed.?
