@trevormay23 @km_1713 @KentuckyF34638 I’m a Kentucky fan, so there is no way I am arguing for Duke, but by your logic, UConn is not a blue blood considering they have been up and down for the past 25 years. They don’t have sustained success outside of a few five year windows.

@GrangerK16 @km_1713 @KentuckyF34638 Yes, they weren’t a blueblood until 2009 in my opinion. They had 10 years of VERY solid basketball and have continued that success. For someone who claims they’re unbiased, you’re trying very hard to show me I’m wrong

I'm going to say it. UConn is more of a blue blood than Duke.

@trevormay23 @km_1713 @KentuckyF34638 They had at least one final four in every decade from 1960 on with multiple in the 60’s and 80’s. If that’s the case then UConn has 5 missed tournaments in the past decade, and went almost ten years without a sweet sixteen. And literally no final fours before 1999.

@GrangerK16 @km_1713 @KentuckyF34638 Agree to disagree. I see a lot of gaps of success. I quantify “blue blood” as someone with continual success. Also, bias towards winning recent championships and it’s been 11 years since their last. I think the term should be earned, not anointed. But I realize I’m in a minority

@km_1713 @KentuckyF34638 wtf are you talking about? Duke basketball, like UConn, wasn’t really relevant until the 90’s and UConn now has more championships AND tournament wins in the head to head. You just either sound bitter or nuts

Boozer, Flagg, Zion and others all had some great attempts, but he remains THE STANDARD for the one and done era

@ChaosX27 @TerrellTres They have 7. 2009 was the only time they didn’t win it all.

I somehow did not realize UConn has 1 more title than Duke does all-time.

@HOLDER_CL0SE @FakeBecksKSR The original conversation was about cal beating Pitino. You are the one not understanding.

@GrangerK16 @FakeBecksKSR Are you not able to follow that nobody hangs a banner for beating Rick Pitino? If you want a game win in January, Cal is your guy. If you want a game win in March, he’s the worst coach that ever lived.

I have always believed Rick Pitino is the best college basketball coach of the last 40 years and will always be grateful to Cal for how much he owned his ass.

@HOLDER_CL0SE @FakeBecksKSR Are you not able to follow a conversation? The discussion was about Cal against Pitino at UK. And you brought up March. Cal has the 5th most March madness wins, most of any active coach. To say he’s the worst ever just is ignorant.

@GrangerK16 @FakeBecksKSR Nobody hangs a banner for beating Rick Pitino and Anthony Davis single handle winning a title doesn’t change the fact he’s the worst coach in the history of college basketball.

@HOLDER_CL0SE @FakeBecksKSR I very clearly remember the final four in 2012. And the fact that Cal was somehow 8-2 vs Pitino at Louisville while Cal was at Kentucky

@razorbackfan125 @KentuckyHQ @PGentryMagicUK Yall have two sec championships in your history and only one national championship. And haven’t hung a meaningful banner in over 30 years. I’m surprised your fan base even knows there is a second or third weekend of the tournament.

The solution to March Madness isn’t expansion it is REDUCTION. We need to get rid of automatic qualifiers, ESPECIALLY with NIL. There is NO CHANCE that Long Island and Prairie View make deeper runs than Auburn or Oklahoma would.

@armstrong_erik @SpurriersBurna @secnumbersguy Florida and Kentucky have 3 and Arkansas has 1 since 90 a multiple others have made final four runs. That being said, I’m all for mid majors getting in. What I don’t like is the fact that there was debate about Miami just because they didn’t win their conference tournament.

@SpurriersBurna @secnumbersguy Okay….. and outside of Florida and Kentucky, who else has won a national title from the SEC since 1990? Who from the Big Ten has won a national title since 2000? Maybe those teams shouldn’t be included since they can’t win a national title…. That’s what you’re saying.

@RoushKSR And how many times has LSU played well since valentines? Better yet, how many wins against teams with a winning record have they had since January.

If you think Golden is leaving Florida. Or that Florida doesn't care about basketball and that Florida couldn't or wouldn't match UK or anyone else dollar for dollar. I have som beachfront property in Kansas I would like to show you. Florida has been a better basketball program than Kentucky the past 25 years. That is an institutional issue and one to address. But to act like Florida is just a football school that doesn't care about winning at basketball is certainly a choice.
