While I am sure no one will read this, it will help me to pen it. For some time now, I have been digging very deep into the book of Romans. I dig deep and I try to understand the true meaning behind every word in our bibles. I have been in chapter 12 for a bit, and tonight the full weight of a truth and promise came full circle for me: I am 100% a child of God Almighty. It is not conditional, it is not part time, I didn't have to earn; I could not if I tried my very hardest. I am forever God's child, no matter what. Once the weight of this truth and PROMISE truly set in, I believe the Holy Sprit used this understanding to reveal sin in my life that I truly never saw until tonight. I am a salesperson in the AI/Data/Communications space. Some of you may know how fast this space is moving and how quickly something becomes old news. So, I went through a job change, and our finances were very tight for several months. Thus, for the first time in a great while, I skipped tithing for 3-4 months, always thinking I would get caught up eventually. In my mind, I was sinning by not tithing. Now, I was certain I was forgiven, but, in my heart, I was sure that God would never increase, in any way, someone who did not have enough faith to tithe during tight times (my sin). Fast forward to now. My wife and I have had our house up for sale since late November 2025. Since that time, there was one showing in February that lasted about 10 minutes, then nothing. There were many scheduled showings that fell through at the last moment, but only the one showing. Then one week ago, there was a showing. The next day we received an offer that we accepted, and we close the 4th of next month. The end result is the Lord is blessing us with good equity. It is equity we did not earn or deserve. Here is the message and it is twofold: God's grace and goodness to us has nothing to do with us (1st person). God is good to us because we are His children (I pray this applies to you!), and He wants only good for His children. It truly has NOTHING to do with our works, like tithing. Yes, I said tithing. The moment in time, and I do not know when it was, that I started believing that God's grace and goodness and kindness depended on, literally, ANYTHING I do, it became a work to me. I truly believe that God's plan to show me my error came lovingly together in the sale of my home. If you made it this far, I thank you. Amen`
