Anyway, these employees need to be very wary, because im seeing one on-shore employee leveraging AI accomplishing more in a day than a team of off-shore employees do overnight. Yes, on-shore has benefit of quicker clearing of road-blocks....and?!

I downwards to harp on all off-shore contractors, I have worked with a few really good ones - but in my experience the vast majority barely work. They find one issue, mark it as blocking, then do nothing else (i assume they do this with several companies at once). Its frustrating

@draukan_eth @ErikVoorhees A 2 party system is a product of a vote once system. If you can only vote for one person, as opposed to weighted vote structure, the only eventuality is 2-party. In the beginning the system may support more, but they dwindle down to 2. The system must change be4 the parties will.

@ErikVoorhees Wonder what USA would be like if people just voted outside the 2 party system. Sadly probably very similar with the lobbyists winning no matter who is in power. Kicking the can down the road eventually catches up!

@Starlink have you considered on-demand pricing? If I own my equipment but only need starlink a few days a quarter or when my hardline goes out, how neat it would be if I could maintain a low monthly cost for standby and pay per use on the few occasions I need to net via space 😁

@IceSolst @daveaitel I imagine moving fwd, the language its written in will become meaningless, how well documented is it for agentic maintenance? Past: simple and well documented coding was necessary for maintaining across large teams. Now: its how well your agent updates skill.md

LLM code generation has succeeded for your problem when you care so little about what language your code is written in that you don't even know the language. For me this is true for codex since most of the code it writes for me is in Java or rust.

@Noahpinion Thats also not mentioning dedication and effort, which poverty can do a great job cultivating

My brother in law was born in a trailer park to a 16 year old mom. He never met his dad, and no one in his family had ever been to college. He graduated from a top law school. So yes, there is a lot of talent buried in poverty.
Corey Walker 🇺🇸@CoreyWriting

There really isn't that much talent buried in poverty. Talent is hereditary, so talented people usually have accomplished parents. Talented people born poor usually escape poverty in the US because our system rewards intellect and drive.

necessary for it to give you an accurate answer. If you ask it something else, it will not remember your previous conversation - so you have to pass that context along as well.

The best way Im.finfing to explain LLMs to friends is to imagine your LLM as Leonard from Memento. It has all the knowledge from before they were trained (the moment Leonard was struck in the head). Now whenever you talk to Leonard (your LLM), you need to give it all the context

@superphiz I have said this for a while, brave browser had the idea but their execution came several years too early. The way to cease being the product is to pay for the service with money instead of your data. x402 is the way this shift gets legs

@mcuban this is exactly the reason I have not modified any of my applications to leverage AI as the main "engine" of the application. why write the code when AI can do it from an LLM + tools call? BECAUSE code will do the same thing every time all the time.

I’m coming to the conclusion that the biggest challenge for Enterprise AI, and AI in general , as of now, is that it’s still impossible to make sure that everyone gets the same answer to the same question, every time. Which is a great response to the doomers. AI doesn’t know the consequences of its output. Judgement and the ability to challenge AI output is becoming increasingly necessary, and valuable. Which makes domain knowledge more valuable by the second. Am I wrong ?

@lorenzodoteth Ill try again directly using your prompt tomorrow once my monthly credits are refreshed - maybe I underestimated the # of credits necessary and run out before its done? Would be nice to at least receive what little bit was cooked as opposed to leaving empty handed.

@thomasunise @mcuban What if your agent could do it in 10ms while youre at the park with your kids? Ive never done it, so itd likely take me 10 days to learn all the ins and outs and then id still question if I did it correctly or made a mistake - what if my agent could do it in 10ms?

If I was the governor of a state looking to grow their revenues, I would add the ability for anyone to incorporate using an AI agent and stablecoins. And charge a premium for the service Post the agent in the marketplace/connectors that the big LLMs have, to simplify it for everyone First to market makes a killing

holy fuck, a hair dryer at a Paris airport broke Polymarket weather markets & made someone $34,000 richer - polymarket was settling Paris temperature bets on a single Météo France sensor sitting near the Charles de Gaulle runway perimeter - basically unguarded - the guy bought the long-shot outcome (like "22°C" when everyone expected 18°C) for pennies, since nobody thought it'd hit - then he walked up to the probe and briefly heated the air around it with a portable heat source, spiking the reading just long enough to register as the daily max - temperature snapped back to normal in minutes, the market resolved in his favor, and he cashed out - twice, on April 6 and April 15, before Météo France caught on and filed charges hyperstitions.

Digital ID systems always promise security and always deliver breaches. The EU's new age verification app got hacked in under two minutes. Passport photos were stored unencrypted. PIN protection was bypassed with a text editor. Von der Leyen called it "technically ready." Every ID check is a future breach waiting to happen... reclaimthenet.org/eu-age-verific…
