Moses By Leiland Wonderful! Counselor! THE MIGHTY GOD! This is my favorite poem and song. Words cannot tell the experience.

Not sure if we care about the question, IMHO. We’re beyond it. Ya’ll been making your Christian clubs for almost 200 years now, yet we persist. You’re missing the point though. Christianity at large addresses the outward socialites, but doesn’t address the inward commitment.

Question for Christians: Are Mormons Christians?
English

@quickened2him I’ve heard it all. Still I persist. The Book of Mormon testifies of the Living Christ. It’s a lamp-filler. I’m sure you’ll agree with something in the verses I shared, and the one I share below if you truly read them. God bless, brother! 🪔

English

@GravityThought We agree? So you agree that the BoM is a delusion sent by God to judge those who follow it—those who take pleasure in unrighteousness?
We most certainly do not agree. Those who follow the delusion that is BoM do not follow the Way.
English

@quickened2him Also don’t forget, the Nephites made the same mistakes that the nation is making AGAIN. But you probably know that already. The gentiles on the land eventually choose to give power back to the House of Israel, but gentiles can repent and join up! It’s marvelous!

English

@quickened2him I think we agree, we’re just saying the same thing from different perspectives. He does send the book as judgement. The Gentiles and Jews alike must recognize God reveals His words still. Lots to say about these last days! We NEED this book! Thanks for the reminder!

@Rosesdaughter61 Yes! It doesn’t have to be secret. It’s always there, ready to pounce and declare Christ is the Savior, the Redeemer of the World.
English

@GravityThought And it’s free to all who ask for one! Ask me and I’ll get one sent to you or go to LDS.org.

@quickened2him Nice! Sharing is caring. My comment was that the Book of Mormon is a knowledge people need, but treat it’s like it doesn’t exist. It’s always available topic up and read.
But hey! Judgement works, too! Here’s some good ones about judgement from the Book of Mormon.

English

@GravityThought Not a secret. Judgment.
“And for this reason God sends upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in unrighteousness.”

I’ve heard so many interviews lately that used the Bible heavily, but it always ends with speculation. The stage is set, but there aren’t any actors, so no play but Joseph Smith gave us the actors and the play. Why won’t they listen to us?
rory jones@GravityThought
High strangeness, science, & technology and documentary podcasts get close, but they always have some missing links when they approach theology. For some reason they NEVER broach Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price as sources.

#SaintsOnX, what does it mean to you be without guile?
Give an example.

I find that careful and prayerful use of the tools we have in our days really helps. The Holy Ghost must be used in conjunction with these tools!!!
I got ticked off at a Grok answer and typed, "Yeah, but YOU will never have the Holy Ghost."
It was funny to hear Grok come back and say, "Yes, you're right."
(Grok's interpretation of a biblical verse was the philosophies of men, mingled with scripture, and went against what the prophets and apostles teach.)
Had I NOT had the Holy Ghost while using Grok to research my question, I could have easily been swayed to follow a false teaching.
English

@LDSLaw I think it aligns with what I’m observing, but I disagree with it. I don’t believe that’s what is going on at all.

An LDS 𝕏 post.
Over the past few years, I keep encountering a repetitive refrain from many fellow members of the Church. Many of you have a deep, abiding concern that can probably be summarized this way:
The Church is slowly being eaten by a cancerous element of niceness/tolerance/progressive messaging. Doctrines are being softly effaced. Prior teachings are being abandoned. The Church is embracing a kind of globalist, liberal ethos and is soft-pedaling any and all of the former "line in the sand" teachings of the recent past. The prophets/apostles are not teaching clear doctrines because many of their messages can be ambiguous or interpreted in conflicting ways. Because of this, it won't be long before the Church has totally drifted off course and becomes no different than any of the other church in the world that have embraced progressive value systems. Gay marriage sealings are just around the corner.
Does that accurately reflect the feelings that many of you folks have?
English

@the_jake_bastow I think it’s interesting to contemplate the very different experiences the 3 witnesses had vs. 8 witnesses. It’s clear the plates were different. Different covenant relics.
English

In a world that demands evidence, God has always answered with witnesses.
Jesus Christ Himself taught:
“In the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.” (Matthew 18:16)
And again:
“The testimony of two men is true.” (John 8:17)
This isn’t coincidence - it’s a divine pattern.
So when @thebookofmormon comes forth, how does God introduce it? Not through one voice. And not even two voices - but MANY.
- 3 witnesses saw an angel and heard the voice of God.
- 8 witnesses physically handled the plates.
11 total witnesses. Independent. Consistent. Unwavering.
Some later disagreed with Joseph Smith - but never denied their testimony.
That matters.
God didn’t leave this to blind faith. He established it according to the same law Jesus taught.
Multiple witnesses. Different experiences. Unified testimony.
That’s not coincidence - that’s confirmation.
If you’ve never taken the promise in Book of Mormon seriously, now is the time.
Read it. Ask God. And see if He adds His witness to theirs.
Because truth doesn’t fear investigation - it invites it.

Nice. I took it. Joseph Smith was next in line. I’m satisfied.

@gboatman12 Man, do need an electrical engineer coworker? I’d love to do what you some days.

@ITalkOfChrist I think the caveat is that those with a true testimony of the Christ and His Church take covenants as seriously real. And, I have to remember that the covenants I make are aimed at a target— celestial glory or bust. Many people are HAPPY to avoid that kind of sacrifice.
English

@ITalkOfChrist I used to have this perspective. I get it.
I remembered that I was once like them in a number of ways.
I learned that everyone seeks for the state/level/salvation and happiness they want to enjoy. God allows it, because He loves us.
