@smaIIishbird @moonmin_03 your point still feels so disingenuous because they have added 1 hair to "raid content" (chaotic) this has been OVER a year now, almost 2. MULTIPLE hairstyles have been released since then via doing maps, deep dungeon, crafting via cosmic. etc etc. there is no "were so starved"

@bunei_ in fflogs fights are ranked by patches/ have their own seperate tabs for different patches rankings. (7.4 parses ranked seperately from 7.5 etc)
so all this is to say your 100 parse (probably) wont change since its ranked in the 7.5 group so you can enjoy ur shiny 100 parse!

@bunei_ vs like 1000 people, because your only competing against 49 people vs 999 other people. you can actually see this in your screenshot where the total number of parses goes from around 7k -> 2k.
tldr; less people to compete against easier to get big number.

@bunei_ if you want the answer way less people playing in the off patches (so now since its 7.5x+)
parses are just a percentile and they are ranked against the people you are competing against. for an example its much easier to get a 100 parse when there is only 50 people in the pool

@kleverklogs1 @Liangyyu the difference is a top 1 parse when it is current and everybody is doing it vs like a top 1 parse when like 50 people are doing it is not the big flex you think it is.

You still need a soul stone to even get your full lvl 60 kit. There’s also what, 3 more after potd?
And triple triad ‘unlock’ is early on, but I’m talking about the people that go for all the cards.

I honestly do not care how other people play the game but personally I cannot imagine skipping msq. I'm sure there are people who don't care for the journey but imo the hundreds of hours long journey *is* FFXIV

It’s 2026, we are gonna be 6 expansions deep into FFXIV soon. Can we stop with the weird gatekeepy behavior if someone doesn’t want to play through 250 hours of story to be able to play some of the best MMO raid encounters ever made? Heaven forbid someone asks you a small lore question if they start getting interested in the story after starting the game 10 years late. Are we really gonna keep driving people away with this weird NIMBY ritual? Just use your social skills (lol) and answer the small question, suggest they start a story alt on their downtime, or direct them to a synopsis video on YouTube. Crying about “story skippers” this deep into a game’s development cycle is peak cringe. If they set up a skip to Dawntrail for new characters to jump into the new story arc I and many others feel like it would be beneficial for the game’s long term health. While the Hydaelyn/Zodiark arc is great storytelling it’s also not a sacred cow for people to clutch pearls over. At the end of the day, it’s a game to be played. We’re all better than this and should start acting like it.

The game is an MMO, it continuously eats money. It's owned by one of the worst big companies on the market. SE famously breathes down the devs necks constantly. More expansions = harder to convince new players = less money = SE real mad.

@Tenjichin @SongbirdN7 id like to say the examples you gave and "being locked behind 200 hours of a content" is very hilarious given deep dungeons (POTD) is unlocked at level 15 and the gold saucer (which is where triple triad is unlocked) is around the same time, lmao. which is maybe a couple hours in

All of which are locked behind a 200 hours wall those same people may or may not care/have time for
It's an mmo, everyone's 'journey' is going to be unique

Who recommends this game to a friend to play with them to be like "lol see u in 400 hours loser" like there is alot of stuff you can do together that isnt at max level??

@thatweirdfurry2 @Cardemi3 @ZletanFFXIV But as for playing with friends, ive gotten alot of different friends into this game and I do all their roulettes with them or the trials with them or hang out in vc while they play /stream or ill even make a new character to run around with them and do the quests together
