Lotus Bank?
A friend rejected an offer from Lotus Bank because the branch he was posted to operates inside a filling station.
At first, I laughed at it because it sounded funny rejecting an offer for that reason.
But then I still don't fully understand the logic behind a Bank operating physical branches inside filling stations.
This is way beyond cutting down on asset and operational expense.

Few teachers and each teacher teaches up to 4 subjects. That is if a teacher is teaching maths, he’s also expected to teach physics, chemistry etc

Your child is getting 100k worth of education.
School buildings don’t teach.

Like I always say, no Nigerian university graduate is employable. I stand by it. None.
They will tell you that mechanical engineering has nothing to do with the generator.

The Mechanical Engineering final year students of IMO State University were hosting a graduation party. At some point the generator developed fault. None of the students had a clue on how to fix it. They all had to start searching for an artisan to fix it. They eventually found someone that came and fixed it. The quality of the graduates in most of our state universities and in some federal universities are unemployable. A university where students have to sort their way out without learning anything meaningful. I call many of them, illiterate graduates.

Whether Law, Medical or engineering, USA or Nigeria, what you studied in the university can never be enough to get you sufficiently ready to start practicing...
You still have to train be hands-on.
Medicals have a 1 year internship/ house job program, followed by residency programs ( *3-6 yrs)which is a postgraduate program before you become that t specialist you call them. No doctor is allowed to just finish from school and start performing surgeries, they have to learn the ropes first.
Lawyers go to law school for a year, then work in the chambers of very experienced senior colleagues for years before going on to start taking on cases.
Engineers do not really have that post school opportunity to get hands on. No engineering graduate in the USA will just graduate today and start to build systems... he has to learn the ropes in a relevant industry and get hands on....
