📌Zimbabweans Must Resist Foreign War Recruitment Zimbabweans are being urged to remain vigilant against deceptive recruitment schemes that disguise human trafficking as overseas employment opportunities. With Zimbabwe renowned for having one of Africa’s most educated populations, it is deeply troubling when citizens are tricked into fighting in wars that have no bearing on the nation’s interests. Zimbabwe is not involved in any foreign conflict, and there is no legitimate reason for its citizens to lose their lives in battles that do not concern them. International media, including the BBC, have previously exposed covert recruitment efforts by private military organizations targeting vulnerable communities. Recent credible reports indicate that some Zimbabweans have been trafficked into conflicts such as Russia’s war in Ukraine and the US-Israel confrontation with Iran. These individuals are often lured with promises of lucrative jobs and financial rewards, only to be deployed directly to dangerous frontlines with little protection or support. Participation in foreign wars not only damages Zimbabwe’s reputation but also undermines national sovereignty and risks entangling the country in geopolitical disputes that could lead to isolation or retaliation. Africans should not be dying in wars that are not their own, yet many are misled or coerced into joining conflicts that result in unnecessary deaths, psychological trauma, and the erosion of human capital. Such losses weaken Africa’s capacity for development and place additional strain on health systems. Recruitment into these wars often involves deception, coercion, or threats, violating basic human rights and leaving individuals exposed to extreme danger without informed consent or legal protection. The long-term consequences for families and communities are severe, depriving the nation of skills, labour, and future leadership. Zimbabweans must therefore remain vigilant, exercise caution when approached with overseas offers involving military or security work, and seek verified information before committing to such opportunities. Protecting individual safety and national dignity requires collective awareness and resilience. @zanupf_patriots @zanupfbyoinfo @ZanuPFMabvuku @ZANUPF_Official @ChinamasaPA @OpenParlyZw @enkudheni @dereckgoto @DumisoJnr22247
