@AvnerR6 @OutlastGamingNA The support we did receive from GG was great and very much appreciated (at least from what I can vouch for whilst I was there). But I do think Ubi needs to step up for the smaller guys keeping the region alive longterm.

The GG situation perfectly highlights the difference between @OutlastGamingNA and larger organizations, both the good and bad. GG imported players- Outlast will never import to the OCE region. GG payed higher salaries than we could possibly afford, but left mid season. Outlast has existed continuously in Siege for over 5 years and would never leave mid season. GG completely relied on one coaches perspective, Outlast makes a strong effort to get every player and staff members opinion. GG has a strong follower count, Outlast is comparably small. (Notably our engagement numbers were similar due to us having a very targeted siege audience but point still stands). Affiliate to GG is essentially nothing, to Outlast it would mean 5+ years of substantial investment in the siege community would be payed back and allow for our operations to be competitive at a global scale. Moving forward I think Ubi has an interesting choice to make- do they find more large organizations, with all the benefits that come with that, or do they reward grassroots organizations. Especially in smaller regions and at the semi pro level I believe grassroots builds stronger community and results in a better competitive environment. And as these grassroots organizations grow, the financial gap between them and larger orgs keeps shrinking. I think siege esports is great in large in large part because we have both the @Spacestation @ShopifyRebels @FalconsEsport @G2esports @FURIA of the world and the @OutlastGamingNA @DAYSTARGG @ArialArise (please come back) @QorGaming @ORG_A7. I love the opportunity promotions bring, @mackoesports and @JJBlazt deserve the support they are now getting and hope this opportunity spreads into the APAC region.
