@greggertruck I have my family trained to only touch the black rubber at the top of the door, so we don't have a finger print problem. It wears the dirt well if you don't finger phuck it.

Local AZ realtor Grant Botma shared his Cybertruck AWD week one thoughts! TLDR; he’s very happy! “I took delivery of the new All Wheel Drive $59k Cybertruck late last week. Since then I’ve put more than 400 miles on it, including two mini road trips on back to back days. Here are my thoughts so far. The Bad: The truck is ugly as sin. Seriously. I think it’s awful looking. I don’t like it. At all. The stainless steel is impossible to keep clean. It’s a fingerprint magnet, and because there are no exterior door handles, there are handprints all over it. The windshield is massive. Cleaning the inside of it is going to be a chore. This thing is huge. It’s incredibly long and wide. It barely fits in my garage and, at times, feels almost too big. The Good: This thing is huge. I am 6’5” and I make large humans. We all fit comfortably. There is plenty of room in every direction. The comfort in width is especially enjoyable. The giant windshield, oversized windows, and glass roof make the cabin feel incredibly open. The kids don’t get car sick, and everyone has something to look at. It’s the most comfortable and enjoyable vehicle I’ve ever driven. Yes, it’s a truck. But it rides unbelievably smooth. It’s quiet inside, has tons of room, fantastic speakers, and incredibly comfortable seats. Tesla downgraded a few things on this model compared to the higher trims, like the suspension, sound system, and interior finishes. Honestly, I can’t believe how good it still feels for the price. A trade off I am enjoying! The truck bed is awesome. It’s huge, there’s no awkward wheel well taking up space, and it’s basically one giant rectangle. It easily fits a sheet of plywood with the tailgate down. I’ve already bought a few accessories, including three large storage bins that fit perfectly and keep everything from sliding around. So many customizable options to make the bed work for your lifestyle. It’s great! Speaking of that, the automatic tonneau cover is a game changer. Every truck should have one. Push a button and the bed is either completely covered or completely open. Better security, better weather protection, better aerodynamics. It’s awesome. The range has been excellent. I left Gilbert at around 80%, drove all the way to Payson and back, and still pulled into my garage with more than 15% battery remaining. No charge needed. And charging? Ridiculously fast. I stopped at a Supercharger around 40%, ordered and ate a sandwich, and by the time I finished I was back to 80%. I was genuinely impressed. Charging is even faster than the model 3 we have and the model Y I sold. Full Self Driving continues to be the most impactful technology of my adult life. It’s not perfect yet on the Cybertruck, but it’s still incredible. I drove from Gilbert to Payson and back and only touched the controls to park when I arrived. It handled traffic, mountain roads, twists, turns, a vehicle on fire on the side of the road with lots of smoke, and everything else remarkably well. I absolutely love it. I think it’s one of those technologies everyone should at least experience before forming an opinion. It’s not only amazingly convenient but makes drives safer. The yoke steering wheel and steer by wire are fantastic. They make driving such a large vehicle surprisingly easy. When I’m not using FSD, it’s genuinely fun to drive, and the steering wheel itself is far more comfortable than I expected. Finally, I love Tesla’s design philosophy. Very few buttons. Very little clutter. No rattles. Everything is clean, simple, intuitive, and easy to use. It’s just… nice. I’m sure I’ll discover more things I love and a few more things I don’t as I spend more time with it. But so far, the pros far outweigh the cons. I’ve been a huge fan of the Tesla buying and driving experience the last year or two, and this Cybertruck has only reinforced that. It’s an excellent truck. But more importantly, it’s still a Tesla. That’s a pretty great combination.”

@Teslarati I don't understand why people tap on the door instead of just pushing the button on the handle. Very bizarre.

@DevinOlsenn But how would that have stopped the driver from hitting over 70 mph? He still would have continued pressing the accelerator and crashed.

Maybe pressing the accelerator should disengage FSD, the same way pressing the brake pedal does. When you tap the brake pedal or steer in anyway FSD will instantly disenage and relinquish control. That is not the case for the accelerator pedal though - we have always been able to use that while keeping FSD engaged. You can use it to speed the car up if it's driving too slow, if the car is braking in a situation that it shouldn't be, etc. The problem now is how much should you be able to use the accelator before FSD disengages? I'd argue that any input from the accelerator should disengage FSD instantly, just the same as pressing the brake pedal does. If you look at almost every single "crash" that has happened while FSD is engaged - the driver has put their foot on the accelerator. What do you all think?
Dirty Tesla@DirtyTesLa

@jeremyjudkins_ When you have FSD on, and the human presses the accelerator but something dangerous may or may not be ahead, why does the car not just stop?

This is what it looks like when you go 100 miles without touching the wheel or pedals on Tesla FSD. What’s crazy is that hitting a 100-mile FSD streak keeps getting easier. I don’t drive at all anymore, Tesla AI handles it all.

Your question is more suitable for those that live in apartments and don't have charging. You should have mentioned that you're describing 1% of people's annual driving. Most driving is from home to work and back, and they charge at home. If you take all the charging time from my annual road trip and compare it to somebody's annual gas station visits, they probably spend more time filling gas annually than I do with one annual road trip. I will never purchase another gas car again. @WR4NYGov

Nothing makes you question your life choices quite like sitting at a Tesla supercharging station in the middle of nowhere for 30 minutes... 😅 Let’s be real for a moment. Most Tesla owners hate admitting this, but gas cars absolutely crush EVs when it comes to raw road trip efficiency. The Gas Car Reality: - You pull off the highway, spend 3 minutes filling up, and you’re back on the road with another 300 miles of range. - Sure, gas is expensive, but it’s fast. - With an EV, you're mapping out strict charging stops, watching your range drop to 200-250 miles because you're doing 70 mph, or watching it tank even further because it’s too hot or too cold. But here’s the plot twist... I’d still choose the Tesla every single time 👇🏼 Why? Because the pacing completely changes how a road trip feels: - Zero driving fatigue: Full Self-Driving does the heavy lifting. - Productive downtime: That 30-minute charging stop becomes a built-in break to grab lunch, stretch your legs, or catch up on YouTube on the big screen. - Pure comfort: The seats are comfier, and the cabin basically becomes a rolling lounge. Even though it technically takes longer, the built-in breaks make the trip feel half as long. Where do you stand on this? Are you team "get there as fast as possible" or team "enjoy the lounge experience"?

Family of convicted killer Karmelo Anthony raised nearly $634,000 through a crowdfunding campaign that paid for moving expenses, living costs, and 'security measures' — less than two weeks after Anthony stabbed a 17-year-old to death at a Texas high school track meet. The fundraiser has since been taken down.

Will, I like you and I hope Karmelo goes to jail (he is a dirtbag), but you might be spreading some misinformation and I don't have time for that, so I unfollowed you. I spend too much time on X and only have time for facts. @grok, is there any evidence that Karmelo was rifling through other people's items, and if so, was that presented in court?

It cannot be forgotten that so many support Karmelo Anthony's stabbing of Austin Metcalf to death because Karmelo is black and Metcalf was white: They think a trespasser rifling through the possessions of the other team when in their tent without permission is within his rights to stab to death those who ask him to leave Now apply that to squatters. To vagrants. To criminals generally. This is what they support, and that is intolerable White leftists are following in the footsteps of John Brown, and black nationalists in the footsteps of Nat Turner. They want the same thing, and are increasingly open about it They must be crushed, or they will try to do to all of us what Karmelo did to Austin Metcalf

This is a terrible start. You don’t need a human rights organization to see that 2 million Arab Muslims get to vote in Israeli elections. “A government that has life and death control over you does not give you the right to vote.” The PA and Hamas don’t let them vote. They don’t have elections. Most Arab countries offer no meaningful democracy. Israel has elections. Israel has a free press. You can criticize the government. Try publicly criticizing Hamas in Gaza. They murder critics in the street. Iran slaughters protesters. You can be gay in israel. They have pride parades. Try that in Gaza or the West Bank. You need human rights organizations to tell you this? I don’t even like Sam TDS Harris but you make him look brilliant.
