What a great start to the day! Martyn and Dianne spent a lovely morning litter picking at #WarleyWoods. They were chuffed to find very little rubbish—a massive win for the woods! They still clocked 3 miles, proving that litter picking is just "walking with a purpose."

BLP & Rufford groups were out, concentrating on Abbey Lane & Meadow Lane, Rufford. 24 bags of litter removed. Some recyclable items were disposed of at the recycling centre, sadly too much to sort through safely. We climbed into the woods to clear rubbish thrown over the fence.

Last Sunday we had a great turn out for our litter pick around Ringtail Rd, Tollgate Rd and the industrial area. Lots of debris, random items and a total of 30 bags of litter collected in several areas. A few of the crew pictured. #lovewhereyoulive

Last litter pick of 2025, 15 bags collected from Burscough on a wet Sunday morning. Afterwards a Xmas drink was needed. The Hop Vine was a good choice, the beautiful Christmas tree, decorations & the festive feel about the pub. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year everyone.

The pickers were out around the village.We had a good turnout. Collected approx 14 bags at first count, could be more. Excellent job guys. Please don't drop litter, it's unsightly, unhygienic would be even more expensive to remove if Burscough litter pickers weren't around.

Lathom litter pickers cleared a disgusting mess by Moss Bridge Lane. Over 20 bags of rubbish, two shopping trollies & a four person tent. All only 5 minutes from the CRT Skip. No one knows why they were camping here but the mess they left was disgusting , already a rat haven .

12 volunteers out in Burscough today. 25 bags collected along with 42 Nitrous Oxide cans. The damage to the health of our young people is worrying. Still able to buy these despite a ban on sale for recreational use. 70 have been collected in Burscough and Lathom since Friday.

Yesterday 6 of our volunteers were out in Burscough and Rufford collecting a total of 13 bags of litter. The car park opposite Tesco was particularly bad despite there being bins and recycling facilities on the car park. 😕 #lovewhereyoulive #keepburscoughbeautiful

Burscough Litter Pickers, Keep Britain Tidy pledge of 40 bags was exceeded today, with a total to 60. 12 volunteers collected 28 bags & lots of debris. A shout for our juniors, Charlotte & Tamara who regularly pick with their Mums. Thanks for keeping Burscough beautiful.
