We the buyers of Greenopolis Project, Sector 89,Gurugram have been suffering for the last 14 years. HRERA issued an order in 2019 but, the builder, like a bully never obeyed it and went to NCLT.....from then on we are fighting cases in NCLT, NCLAT, NCDRC, High Court of Delhi, High Court Chandigarh, HREAT and Supreme Court..... is this what a common man deserves after paying 1 crore per flat to the builder ? Some one in the society, system has to come forward and help. We first paid for homes and now are paying for court cases - this should be stopped !!

Supreme Court has approved the completion of 16 stalled housing projects in the Delhi–NCR region that were originally to be constructed by Supertech between 2010 and 2012, and has directed that these projects be handed over to NBCC. The Court has asked NBCC to complete the construction within a fixed timeline of up to three years. This order provides major relief to nearly 50,000–51,000 homebuyers who have been waiting for possession for over a decade. The Court noted that Supertech has failed to complete the projects and that there are allegations of diversion of funds by the company. In view of this, the Supreme Court upheld the order of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), which had approved the transfer of the projects to NBCC to ensure timely completion and protection of homebuyers’ interests. The Supreme Court further made it clear that its order is final and binding, and that no court or forum shall interfere with the implementation of the directions issued for completion of the projects.

Why is there no accountability? Judges leave at the scheduled hour even when their own list remains unfinished. Lawyers still charge their full fees, regardless of whether the matter is heard or not. But the petitioner who is already drained financially and emotionally must return again, pay again and wait again. Why shouldn’t the courts absorb the enormous financial cost of a hearing day when the matter is listed but not heard? Why can’t the Judges stay back longer and finish the day’s unfinished work like every hardworking citizen does ? Why should the petitioner alone bear the weight of every adjournment, every delay, every wasted date? The justice system is proving to be unjust and failing the people of the country. Who is watching the watchdog?
