I really appreciate the positive comments about this review. My ambition is to give a bit of help to some outstanding authors, and to the Australian sports publishing industry, which produces some exceptional books ....

These books, in my view, are the best Australian sports books of 2019 ... bit.ly/38SOVJH ... @text_publishing @MacmillanAus @HardieGrant @newsouthbook @HarperCollinsAU

I put this book by ⁦@GregGrowden⁩ down last night, finished and thoroughly enjoyed. I barely knew anything about Jack beforehand. Greg - the last line is a cracker... Well done on bringing Jack, his ability, personality and the feud, to life.

For more than a century Major Thomas has been a footnote in diverging historical arguments. For the first time, @GregGrowden attempts to unravel the truth about the lawyer and soldier who returned from South Africa a broken man. #history #australia #discover #listen #audiobo

Super piece (+ I’d reckon book) by @GregGrowden Reality check ... For Graham Williams, 2 wks out from a German POW camp + 31kg lighter as he came to bat “the roast lamb and jacket potatoes on offer at lunch, as well as the afternoon tea, were his first proper meals since 1941.”

Agree. 100 % Whatever the contractual status of any Wallabies coaching option, to not pursue Eddie Jones would be derelict. He is a coach who has honed his strengths and has worked on many other areas, and we have witnessed the results. Demands as much of himself as others ...

#Jones has unfinished business. His first spell as #Wallabies coach ended in tears when RA sacked him after the Wallabies lost eight of nine Tests in 2005. Who is the best international coach out there? There’s no argument. Jones by a country mile #RWC2019 smh.com.au/sport/rugby-un…

@GregGrowden @smh The disappointing comment for me as Tahs supporter is in regard to Rob Penney. Not confidence inspiring. Why not give @Davidcampese11 a go in that role? Rennie may prove to be a good choice but lack of transparency very disappointing.

@GregGrowden @MichaelPascoe01 @smh Finally an article that truly reflects the period we have just been through. 👍. Why since it has been so obvious for so long - only now. ?
