@joshmanders I've probably made it sound way cooler than it is haha. It's using github.com/mfontanini/pre… for the slides and then I'll be some live coding in neovim in another ghostty tab. The talk is mainly about Rector
English

@GregMayesDev Well if not, be cool for you to redo the talk just as a video recording of your screen. I'm very intrigued by it just by what you've said and I don't even know what it's gonna be about exactly.

OpenTUI was what made me finally stop hating on the terminal and start using it again. Now I'm in tmux and vim instead of vscode.

i regret to inform all the people who get mad for some reason whenever people build a TUI, OpenTUI is at 300,000+ weekly downloads
English

@joshmanders I'll ask the organiser at some point. It's more like a meetup rather than a conference so I dunno if they're gonna be recording and/or streaming it

@joshmanders @liltechnomancer Can't say no to the MF DOOM mask in the profile pic
English

Now that the feed is mostly mutuals I wanna take this oppertunity to sell to my moots.
Do you see this text under @liltechnomancer's following/follower count? "Followed by X, Y, and Z others you know?"
Yeah, that's too low. Ya'll should fix that.

@DanielLockyer The OP mentioned they upgraded from 5.4. The fact they were running a 14 year old version of PHP is crazy

Runtime updates can be the easiest perf wins!

Annual reminder to update your core technologies. Just finished our migration to newer PHP version and CPU usage dropped in half
English

@aarondfrancis Sorry to resurrect this but is there an ETA on future episodes?
English

Enjoying faster.dev by @aarondfrancis. Don't let the name make you think it's about one-shotting or that it purely focus on speed as a success metric. It's very quality focused with an emphasis of keeping your hands on the wheel

@JonPurvis_ @rectorphp That's really good to hear! I was supposed to do this talk earlier in the year but life happened 😅
English

@GregMayesDev @rectorphp Looking forward to it! I went last week for the first time and everyone was super friendly and it was a fantastically ran meet-up!
English

Going to be speaking at Laravel Manchester in August. It looks like a really well run event and I hope to meet some awesome new people. I'll primarily be speaking about @rectorphp but it's also a general talk on automated refactoring techniques in PHP
English

@VotrubaT Unsure actually. The last incident was quite a long time ago and I don't think that codebase was using PHPStan
English

@GregMayesDev I see. That's typical mistake for fetching anything "from outside".
Could you PHPStan it?
English

@levelsio It's been like this for years. I just gave up in the end (don't even remember what I had in there 😅)
English

Feeling like @kenwheeler rn enjoying these in season strawberries

@yacineMTB Got an example of what you have automated and how? Using automations in codex or having n8n workflows?
