@SiShingler @DraigCop It was squared away from a risk POV, hence why ARV do not have helmets on and members of the public/ reporters allowed right up to the gate. If there was any risk the student would be in the car/ at a safe location with ARV/ local MPS officers.

@DraigCop Take your point mate, and as someone else pointed out we don’t have all the facts so it may well be the case it was squared away from a risk pov. But for me this isn’t just about PPE. Exposure is a big one.

Armed police, ambulance staff in AIT gear, and a medical student in a polo shirt and cargo pants. Not convinced that’s all that appropriate really. 🤦🏻‍♂️

@SiShingler We don’t know the facts, May have been a change of circumstances, look at the firearms no helmets anymore either. Dynamic risk assessment that the threat has been neutralised and now safe, and staff already in AIT kit not have time to take it off.

@KeepGoinEoin I’m not sure why you’re comparing paramedics here. This is a paramedics bread and butter. There is no one else that is going to run a standard cardiac arrest pre-hospital. Yes it it nuanced but still follows guidelines/ algorithms.

@H_H_Gray Try and think about this for just one second. There are probably 100-1000x journeys completed by foot than there are by bicycle. The actual percentage of pedestrians sustaining head injuries will be far less than cyclists.
