Taxes screw over both the companies and the states they’re in. Taxes didn’t build those big companies. They show up after the success. They sure as hell didn’t create Silicon Valley. The sky-high taxes came later, once it was already killing it. California basically turned its successful companies into hosts and started parasitically draining them for more and more cash, jacking up the rates year after year. They forget the first rule of parasitism: don’t kill the host. Companies only have so much tolerance before they say screw it and bail for another state with better deals and resources. And that breaking point is a lot lower these days.

You know that without a free market economy, people would be "enslaved" to hunting and farming, and they'd often be poorer or _literally_ enslaved. What's more, prior to Progressives and their mass immigration and high taxes, Americans could work at a gas station and afford to pay rent in a one-bedroom San Francisco apartment. That was also free market economics. Why was it not slavery then but it's slavery now? It does suck now, thanks to MASSIVE increases in housing and healthcare. We ARE being robbed by mass immigration and corrupt government. But getting robbed IS slavery. Free market economics is not.

@Justjohnny2323 @TheAliceSmith In this case, the "servant" is actually a wage or salary employee, employed by someone with more money, a production facility AND the ability to muster several employees to produce whatever the purpose of said facility is. A slave receives no wages. There's a big difference.
