@theoscholastica That’s a good question. I’m a Sede priest & accept not only the Pius XII Holy Week, but also St. Joseph the Artisan on May 1st. Not to do so would be to adhere to a spirit of schism if not actual schism.

Why do some Sedes recognize Pius XII as a valid Pope but resist his Holy Week Changes?

I am seeing a lot of young men considering leaving the faith due to the blatant rot within the Vatican. If the corruption in Rome is shaking your faith — good. It should. But I’m begging you: do not confuse the men who have hijacked the Vatican with the Church Christ founded. They are not the same thing. They were never the same thing. The Catholic Church is indefectible. She cannot officially teach heresy. She cannot promulgate evil liturgical rites. She cannot lead souls astray through her universal disciplinary laws. This isn’t my opinion — this is dogma, taught by every pope from Pius IX backward to the Apostles. So when you see Rome blessing sodomy, worshipping Pachamama, declaring that all religions are paths to God, and gutting every doctrine your grandparents would have died for — you have only two logical options: 1.The Catholic Church can defect, and Our Lord lied. 2.The men doing this are not what they claim to be. There is no third option. “Resist and recognize” is not theology. It’s cope. Before you walk into a Protestant church or fall into despair, I am pleading with you — research Sedevacantism. Not from its enemies. Not from a 90-second TikTok strawman. Read the actual pre-Vatican II papal encyclicals. Read Mortalium Animos. Read Pascendi. Read Quo Primum. Then read what Vatican II teaches. Let the contradiction hit you like a freight train — because it will. And be very, very careful who you listen to online. The Catholic internet is full of influencers with Patreon accounts and sponsor deals who will tell you to stay comfortable, stay obedient, don’t ask hard questions. Ask yourself: who funds them? Who do they platform? Who are they never permitted to criticize? A man cannot serve God and mammon — and a man whose livelihood depends on not understanding something will never understand it. The Faith doesn’t change. Dogma doesn’t evolve. The Mass of the Ages wasn’t “abrogated” by men who don’t even hold the Catholic faith. You don’t need to leave the Church — you need to find Her where She still exists, uncorrupted, unchanged, exactly where Christ promised She would be. The Chair may be empty. The Faith is not. Come home.
