As I was looking fun way to end 2024, I thought why not list the best and worst songs of the year? I consider myself a music snob, so why not. This is likely to be a long thread, but hopefully you discover your next favorite song as well! There is no genre here, just what is best and what is worst. Let's Go!

Dear @Hertz, when i got read-ended while at a stop in your car, called your roadside number and got a "please call during business hours" message, i laughed. When I went to your location to return the car and provide insurance info of the person who hit me, and was told "do not worry we'll take care of it", i was relieved. But when weeks later you contacted me demanding i pay cash for the repair and told me hat in fact you "never take care of it" and you have no idea who told me, andit was on me to "handle it", I was furious. Luckily (with permission) I recorded your employee telling me at great length that you will in fact take care of it and after submitting this report at the location, there was no further action required of me. So, what now? Is this the sort of business you run? Lying to customers and attempting to gaslight them? Seriously?

Fiancé and I are working crazy shifts this whole weekend so I’m putting some meals in the slow cooker. The other day I made a chicken with soy sauce and potatoes. I got three meals out of that. I’m putting this in the slow cooker hurts today before I leave for work, he will turn off the cooker when he gets up for work, and I will portion this out over rice. We will probably get about three or four meals out of this as well. It’s literally that easy! I love my slow cooker. She is small but mighty.

It’s totally Bungie leadership guys. It’s not the devs at all. Not the devs who nuked gunplay for ability spam. Not the devs who deleted a year’s worth of content from existence. Not the devs that put the best armors behind the pay shop. Not the devs who made a terrible onboarding experience for new players. Not the devs for deleting every season after it launches. All of Destiny’s problems are totally and exclusively leadership issues. Keep blaming Pete Parsons and his cars.

They sit in their Ivory towers and expect poor people to just fucking suffer while insisting that they should "just tighten the belt a little more and eat some beans" and then fault them when they apply for assistance.

Of all the nasty comments I've gotten about daring to suggest frugality, the ones that make me laugh the most are those saying I, a stay at home mom making sure 5 people can live on one middle of the road income, am disqualified from giving such advice because I don't have a 9-5.

@yeahrightgirlhg Zoomers are old enough for kids. So $30 x 3.5 x 28 is nearly $3,000 Per Month for JUST LUNCH. Surely we don’t expect them to eat chipotle for dinner too. So let’s just set aside $4,000 per month for dinners too. Houses are unaffordable

Been a Playstation fanboy since PS1. Literally own huge catalogs of physical games. The past few years have tried my fandom and is likely going to make me permanently move to Steam. This company is just one big joke after another lately. When does the Steam Machine release?

Wait wait wait. Is fast food so damn expensive now because an entire generation is eating it EVERY DAY!? But they’re too socially awkward to go to @Chilis. So Chilis has normal prices due to normal sales. Things are making more and more sense suddenly.

The "make your own lunch" debate is hilarious. I started teaching in 2004 and was broke as a joke. Was still teaching in 2010 when my first kid was born, add in daycare, was even more broke. I never ate out M-F, ever. I would play a game called "can I have a zero week". A "zero week" is a week where I didn't buy a single thing other than essentials. Just groceries, make meals at home, and gas for my 2002 Honda if I needed it. Most weeks, I accomplished this, and had "zero weeks". That entire time, I worked 2nd and 3rd jobs and always sought out ways to earn more/make side gig money. I quickly realized I needed to find a way to untie dollars and hours. It wasn't that long after, I took out a domain name and started blogging... and the rest is history. But I still make all my meals at home, other than Saturday nights. Occasionally we will get take out on Sundays. That's it. Zero eating out as a family other than that, even though our financial situation is very different now. The younger generation thinks privilege should be the norm, on a daily basis, and this "debate" proves it.
