South African WIMPS @LaTrompetteUk yesterday, the wines were good but the food was sensational! @Gregory_Wellman and his team knocked it out of the park, especially that lamb. Perhaps @MattChristmas1 could pick up a few recipes 🤣

Recruitment update: trial, no-showed two weeks ago, claimed to have emailed to cancel, I had no record, reschedules for today, no-shows! It's like some sort of elaborate and not very funny practical joke.

Does anyone have any useful advice on a knife sharpener for general use in the kitchen? Someone has recommended a Tormek. Obviously those with fancy schmancy samurai daggers will still slave away at their stones! (No offence Elliot, I love you sharpening my knives!)

When chefs do gardening

Our fabulous sister restaurant @LaTrompetteUk in Chiswick, W4 will be open again for Sunday lunch from May 7th. If the weather improves, you may even be outside on the terrace! Superb restaurant, even if I do say so myself.

What an incredible lunch @LaTrompetteUk amazing wines paired with amazing dishes. Rhubarb dessert was my dish of the day but the lamb, scallop and oyster weren't far behind.
