BREAKING: Trump's own Justice Department hits him with nightmare news by announcing an internal watchdog investigation into the agency's handling of the Epstein files release. Our so-called president was hoping this would just fizzle out... "The DOJ Office of the Inspector General (OIG) is initiating an audit of DOJ’s compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act," announced Deputy Inspector General William M. Blier. "Our preliminary objective is to evaluate the DOJ’s processes for identifying, redacting, and releasing records in its possession as required by the Act." In addition to that preliminary objective, Blier stated that the OIG will "consider addressing other issues that may arise during the course of the audit." While we have good reason to doubt everything that comes out of this deeply corrupt Justice Department, the fact that an audit is being conducted at all should is cause for concern for Trump. There are still people in this administration who want the full Epstein files released because a large portion of the MAGA base still desires it. If Trump's insistences that the entire scandal is a "hoax" were taken seriously by everyone at DOJ, this would not be happening. We know that the full files haven't been released, just like we know that names have been illegally redacted and that Trump himself is accused of rape and heinous sexual misconduct. An audit raises the chances that new information will come out. On top off that, the agents involved in the audit have less incentive than ever to shield Trump. His presidency is falling apart thanks to the Iran War and his plummeting popularity. Helping him to obstruct justice now would mean putting their careers and even freedom on the line. My joint statement with @LeaderJohnThune on DHS funding: We appreciate and share the President’s determination to once and for all bring an end to the Democrat DHS shutdown.   In the coming days, Republicans in the Senate and House will be following through on the President’s directive by fully funding the entire Department of Homeland Security on two parallel tracks: through the appropriations process and through the reconciliation process.   We appreciate that Senator Graham and the Senate Budget Committee have already initiated the process of developing a budget resolution that will ensure border security and immigration enforcement will be funded for the balance of the Trump Administration and insulated from future attempts by the Democrats to defund those agencies.   We operated under a belief that while our country is in the midst of an international armed conflict, Democrats might finally come to their senses and understand that defunding our homeland security agencies is beyond reckless and very dangerous. While we hoped they would accept the 60-day CR to fund the Department entirely so that bipartisan negotiations could continue, it is now abundantly clear that Democrats place allegiance to their radical left-wing base above all else — including their own power of the purse — which means open borders and protecting criminal illegal aliens. That is not acceptable to Republicans in Congress, nor is it to the American people. We cannot allow Democrats to any longer put the safety of the American public at risk through their open border policies, so we are taking that off the table.   In following this two-track approach, the Republican Congress will fully reopen the Department, make sure all federal workers are paid, and specifically fund immigration enforcement and border security for the next three years so that those law-enforcement activities can continue uninhibited. In return, Democrats will once again demonstrate to the American people their support for open borders and keeping criminal illegal immigrants in America.

This is a pretty dishonest framing of what’s actually happening. There is no ‘Democrat DHS shutdown.’ This is a funding standoff over how immigration enforcement is handled, not whether DHS should exist. Democrats have already supported funding most of DHS, TSA, Coast Guard, FEMA, Secret Service, to keep the department running. Republicans rejected that. And let’s be clear: asking for guardrails after agents shot and killed two Americans isn’t ‘open borders.’ It’s basic oversight. Democrats aren’t trying to eliminate DHS, they’re trying to put conditions on how enforcement works. That’s not the same thing, no matter how many times you repeat this lie. Also, the Senate already passed a bipartisan bill that would have reopened most of DHS and paid workers. House Republicans refused to take it up. So claiming Republicans are the ones ‘fully reopening’ the department while Democrats are blocking it is backwards. Senate Republicans agreed with Democrats. What you’re calling ‘defunding’ is actually a disagreement over policy and accountability. Calling it ‘open borders’ and ‘protecting criminals’ is a lie. Stop lying to the American people.

This morning, we said goodbye to our beloved daughter, Sasha. She took her last breath in our arms, asking us to hold her tight — and then even tighter — until her heart finally stopped. Leaving her behind felt like losing a piece of ourselves. Sasha fought cancer with a courage that words cannot describe. For months, through every treatment and setback, she smiled, comforted us, and showed us what love really means. Even in the hardest times, her spirit never gave up. Despite everything, she never stopped loving. In her final days, we could see how much cancer had weakened her small body. But her spirit stayed strong. When she passed, it was peaceful, and her mind was spared the worst of the pain. Though we will never feel her warmth again or hear her laugh, her memory and legacy will always remain. Sasha taught us to love without limits, to fight with all our strength, and to find happiness in even the smallest moments. Her bravery and strength were unmatched, and her story will continue to inspire change. No child should face what she went through, and we now carry her legacy, working in her name for a better world.
