@RBC I have a notice for a fraudulent credit card in my name. I called RBC to report the credit card fraud & I was told the department that sorts out fraud is not accessible outside of business hours. So RBC will not enforce protections against identity theft outside of 9-5? WOW

@Fidomobile Also, misrepresenting your goods at point of sale is a violation of consumer rights act. However, even presented this information, Fido continues to avoid fulfilling refund, lies to its customer about promising refunds and create barriers to receiving customer service

@Fidomobile any reason fido sells devices with known battery defects, misrepresent their goods, then makes you go through 25 different people across 5 calls, and get 3 different types of advice? Also, 2 staff saying they will email us to initiate a refund, but never doing so?

@RogersHelps @Rogers Service is back in my area but only well enough to see an indicator. Cant do anything with it. I have an expensive plan and cant do much more than enter a google search. You set it up, then throttled speeds & connectivity. People dont pay inflated prices for 10% service quality

@Samanth68644113 @the_cindy1962 @jannarden What? Nah. Its better than the US but still stupid easy to qualify for a firearms license in canada. Signup for course, pass and send paperwork to feds. get license. Course is WAY too basic too, cant count the # of guys who almost shot me because they don't know basic gun safety

@marlisjun Dang. Console wars get aggressive. Here I am just enjoying games, eating popcorn and reading gamers utter death threats to each other because of the machine they use. Like damn. Yall need to relax. Its a machine. Folks about to start their own console cults at this point.

@William82306371 @ds_massie @ElCapitaz @MonicaCrowley Every government, and large corporation has press briefs. You absolutely can prepare for off the cuff questions, by having an intelligent team capable of anticipating public interest & composing high-level talking points, which provide consistency and reduce public uncertainty.

@johnniewalkerd1 @TPD_Franklin Saying 'shoot the target', is a goal. But the action is common sense. if i had no firearms training i would still know aim gun and pull trigger. So, if an officer is not able to tell the difference between escalatory behaviour and de-escalatory, then they shouldn't be a cop

@GrolChris @TPD_Franklin It's not an action; it's a goal. It's like telling people that the secret to winning a game is to score more points. "Cops should have de-escalated the situation" can be yanked out at any time. Tell me what the cops should have actually DONE that would have made a difference.

@johnniewalkerd1 @TPD_Franklin Yet when i worked in addictions, i was regularly in front of dealers, and on one occassion in, seemingly, a drug house looking for my client. I managed to navigate those scenarios and I also managed to utilize restraint training, all while maintaining professional composure.

@johnniewalkerd1 @TPD_Franklin I will tell you also that based within this analogy, although a poor comparison. The best approach to winning a game is not to break the rules or be unsportsmanlike. Like an athlete. An officer is expected to be professional and abide by the best practices as outlined by a coach

@johnniewalkerd1 @TPD_Franklin I can tell you that from a mental health standpoint. Doing nothing would have had a better chance at deescalating that scenario than everything she did as she laughed and giggled to herself. Again. Regardless of end result if you behave unprofessionally you should be accountable

@johnniewalkerd1 @TPD_Franklin If you insist i do a lit review for you then i will but give me a day. I have a job. Quite easy to google and identify standard methods highlighted in deescalation training that most of north american police forces utilize. I will include a list of refs to accompany my reply.

@johnniewalkerd1 @TPD_Franklin Those literaly go directly against deescalation training. The polar opposite of deescalation. Asking for specific actions she should have done deters from acknowledging that she demonstrated behaviours that she should not have. Period.

@johnniewalkerd1 @TPD_Franklin Deescalation is a standard training among copious of police forces world-wide. What are you talking about. It isn't an arbitrary measure. If practicing de-escalation techniques you would not actively and willingly incite fear in a citizen. Threaten them for fun and laugh during
