You see, the game changes a lot. He’s a smart coach. I think he teaches the game the right way. @karol I also think many parents are desperate to get their kids outside and off the Internet and video games and end up paying a ton to do it with sports as their escape vehicle.

Travel sports are largely stupid but I think so many families have leaned more into kids' sports because it's a way to foster community and the parents have few other opportunities to do that. Some do it for distant college possibilities, sure, but for many it's making friends.

- 1 seed DU to play 4-seed (UMass) in Springfield
- 1 seed DU to Manchester w/ two lower-seed east teams
- 1 seed WMU to Worcester w/ 2 lower-seed east teams

I'm surprised Minnesota hasn't called Western Michigan's Pat Ferschweiler for the Head Coach opening. Born in Minnesota. Family there. Clearly an elite President, GM, Coach snd player developer which is the #cawlidgehawkey job. And he's in his prime.

The schedule allows two games on weekend, focus on development and working out during the week
Rather than the night in night out of AHL and travel
Not hard to see which is better for most 19 or 20 year olds

The piece that everyone is missing is that IF the change occurs, it means NHL Teams CAN send their CHL 1st rounders to the AHL but it doesn’t mean they WILL send them there. The Prospect development path is different for EVERY Player & the 19 year old CHL year is usually better.
