There was a lot of talk about local opportunities and long term benefit, particularly youth and community benefits.
I would say the ‘heart’ is in the right place.
But honestly, the corporate and individual greed that is associated with many of the stakeholders will ride roughshod over working class and day to day benefit.

“Rebuilding one of the worlds most iconic footballs teams stadiums”
Keep up. It’s not a rebuild. It a new stadium they are proposing.
“You think any firm… bla bla bla”
Yes. In a contract where there are L.Ds triggered for failure to meet deadlines and quality (bearing in mind, with United, this is all rush rush), many / most companies, with something to lose, would give a wide berth. Unless they can mitigate and get United to compromise.
See Buckingham Group (Birmingham & Liverpool stadium) contractual failures, which led to administration for the company.

@Guerrilla33 @MikeKeegan_DM Rebuilding one of the worlds most iconic footballs teams stadiums and you think any firm would turn that down give your head a wobble like they'd turn down working on the camp nou or bernabau like fuck would they they'll be chomping at the bit to put their name to it

People that are not involved with the project and process can easily see that the same, wont be achievable in the timescale that the Club are expressing.
*the land they want to build on, is partly not owned by United
*the design will take more than 7 months
*the tender draft and review for 1st, 2nd and 3rd round bids will take more than 7 months
*procurement of materials, plant and labour will take many many months
They are kidding themselves on if they think its a quick fix. If they rush it, it will be like the other large projects (HS2 and HPC) that are 100% 's of percent over budget and years behind. A Black Hole for money.
Plus, the infrastructure is not suitable for large modular build, move and install from Salford Quays.
Any company that is sitting around waiting for United to call & have capacity within short, are not the companies that you want to be dealing with in any event.

Don’t my photographs just look awful when they’ve been stolen & the copyrights been cropped out 🤦🏻♀️ Looses so much of the original colour & detail don’t you think 🙇🏻♀️ 🫢

English

@Big_Red_84 Was supposed to be a trial for 5 games.
Think it’s been more than that.
I suspect they will roll it out around the stadium for next season.
English

@pjstretfordend @BPete1970 Madri is hit and miss.
Make sure you don’t get one of them pre poured pints 🥴
English

@Guerrilla33 @BPete1970 £4.88 cheaper than my local.
To be fair the Madri on draught is not bad too.
