True story. It was great to return to #negativeco2conference, now w @JoePerryman1, and meet with @RobertHoglund & @coreyamyers again - without whom @Brineworks would not exist. Stay tuned!
Robert Höglund@RobertHoglund

Two years ago I dragged along @Guffi to this talk by @coreyamyers, and he got so excited he started @Brineworks A full fledged Direct ocean capture company with offices in Amsterdam and really promising results! #negativeco2emissions x.com/RobertHoglund/…

A massive AI CDR Heart to keep track of all the research Only one person in the world probably scans through the majority of CDR publications, and that's Andrew Lockley @geoengineering1. For the rest of us, we have to pick and choose, with only specialists in specific CDR methods able to follow all the research developments. Today, there are over 50,000 publications on CDR, with most research coming from China, driven by studies on biochar and soil carbon sequestration interestingly enough. There is a solution: the State of CDR team has built a living, AI-enhanced systematic map of CDR research that tracks developments in the field almost in real-time. The interactive tool, hosted on the State of CDR Data Portal, lets users identify relevant research through pre-defined filters. Very cool Link: portal.stateofcdr.org/literature-map

@jokull @salkagullbra Sammala @jokull. Rikisstjorn KJ, og su nuverandi hefur brugðist. Það er ekki einungis KJ að kenna. Hun hefði getað slitið samstarfi utaf þessu en þa hefðum við setið uppi með nyja rikisstjorn sem hefði liklegast verið enn verri. Held þessi orðræða se ekki hjalpleg @salkagullbra.

I respect DAC cos who are transparent and conservative with the “$/ton” claims $/ton includes removal costs but may or may not include compression, transportation, storage, cost to consumer etc Some wild numbers are thrown around and I suspect they just cover removal

Sanbó Þristur is surprisingly good. I bought one in Iceland about 6 months ago, but hadn't dared to try it till I was driven to it by the absence of any other chocolate in the house. Caramel with liquorice bits doesn't sound good, but it is.

Yesterday a new study was shared that estimated the cost of DACCS won’t go below $340/t. But at the same time DACCS costs from some companies are already close to, or at this level. In this post, I show that the cost of DACCS is lower in the near term than people are assuming.
