@realBrooseWain It fit beforehand that Vergil stuck to one outfit the same he stuck to a limited fighting style, mostly just darkslayer. He's consumed by his past. Whereas Dante evolved his fashion style the same way he evolved and diversified his fighting styles - he moved on better.

Most people won’t admit this (I’m originally guilty of this) but both him and Dante are bums, and that’s kinda the point. Also, he’s in desperate need of a new outfit.

Like what if Vergil becomes something like a ronin, drifting around the world fighting demons on his own, imparting the wisdom of humanity onto others it took himself too long to learn? As much as I love the idea of him staying with Dante or Nero, he also needs time to himself.

Vergil is such a fascinating character with how trauma and loss continues to define him. Despite how much he denies it he's exceedingly human, he loves his family and fears losing them again. But he's undoubtably caused that same pain to others and it should be explored someday.

@MegaSonic_ZX The "others" in question include his family - namely his twin brother and estranged son. Ironic given the loss of his mother was what made him who he is. He likely realized this during his fight with Nero hence why he agreed to cut down the Qliphoth, though he'll never admit it

I get that writing is extremely hard, but surely the people behind these indie animations understand that these therapyspeak conversations don't really work when you've only known the characters for 10 minutes
