@Guinness1968 @jaykay3737 Debatable, very debatable. It’s a decent pot but most of these 50+ year old players have decent livelihood and it’s only a couple thousand pounds for each round won.

Seniors world champs results should be null and void. Time fouls not called. Matches moved behind closed doors to players feeling heartbroken at the treatment they have received, and then immediately being expected to play clear headed snooker. Unacceptable. Unprofessional.

To say I’m disappointed would be a huge understatement, don’t remember feeling this low after a snooker event… I wasn’t in the mental state of mind to play that match in a practice room to be honest I was in a state of shock at what was unfolding. Literally heartbroken.

@Martynw34 Was at both 1st round matches v Meo 86 & 87 Never been in such an atmosphere before or since. Was the perfect size venue. Sheffield could do worse than use as a blueprint for Crucible 2.0 !

Jimmy was one of my Sporting Idols growing up, always pleased when he wins, i used to go & see him regularly play in Masters at the Wembley Conference Centre many years ago
