Gratitude is the foundation of peace. On this Diwali, I am deeply grateful our @techconnectalberta. community, completing 100 hours of service for the Calgary Food Bank, for a beautiful family and friends who light my path, and for being surrounded by kind people. Happy Diwali

@ENMAXpower While I understand that infrastructure challenges can occur, given the substantial administrative and maintenance fees we pay, I believe we should expect reliable service. I sincerely appreciate the maintenance team's efforts, especially in these challenging weather conditions.

@ENMAXpower What was reason for it ? First water pipeline and now this. Don't we pay enough admin and supply fee to keep infrastructure up to date

Calgary Public Library
Calgary Public Library@calgarylibrary·
Hi there, Thank you for reaching out. Calgary Public Library continues to experience service disruptions due to a detected cybersecurity breach. Currently, all room bookings from October 11 – 27 have been cancelled. There are two options you can consider if your upcoming event falls within the above time period: 1. You are welcome to drop-in to any Library location and see if a meeting room is available at the time you need it. We would kindly ask you only remain in the space for two hours. 2. If you need a confirmed venue to advertise to your participants, you may need to consider alternative locations. We appreciate your patience and support as we continue to investigate the incident and work to safely restore service as soon as possible.

@lizettendp It's really sad that you blame UCP. IMMIGRATION is a federal issue. If you want to blame , you might be better targeting there Alberta calling ads.

Issues of population growth and immigration are absolutely critical to our province. The UCP have severely mismanaged this file. Instead of thoughtful planning to address population growth, we get tirades against the Feds that achieve nothing. #ableg #abpoli 1/2
Danielle Smith@ABDanielleSmith

Full Statement on Alberta Opposing Further Asylum Relocation to Alberta: Alberta’s government is opposed to the Federal Government’s plan to relocate tens of thousands of asylum claimants to Alberta, especially without any financial assistance to support the province in doing so. Alberta has always welcomed newcomers who possess our shared values - and we will continue to do so. However, last year alone, an all time record of over 200,000 people moved to Alberta. That’s like adding two new Red Deer size cities in just one year. Although Alberta represents only 11.8% of the Canadian population, we are currently supporting approximately 22% (over 70,000) of Ukrainian evacuees who arrived in Canada. Section 95 of the constitution is clear - immigration is an area of shared authority between the federal government and the provinces. Yet, the Trudeau Government’s unrestrained open border policies permitting well over a million newcomers each year into Canada is causing significant challenges, and it’s simply not sustainable. Excessive levels of immigration to this province is increasing the cost of living and strains public services for everyone. We are informing the Government of Canada that until further notice, Alberta is not open to having these additional asylum seekers settled in our province. We simply cannot afford it.

Young guy from India paid $50k to get LMIA as a construction worker. Has never picked up a hammer but had fake docs created. He is paid by the construction company but then pays entire salary back under the table. He doesn’t actually work for this company it’s all a scam.

Having increasing discussions with very smart people about the LMIA program. It is becoming increasingly clear this program is ripe with immigration fraud, tax evasion, and borders on human trafficking. @MarcMillerVM

Higher spending resulting in higher inflation drove up interest rates causing Canadians to take on more debt all while Trudeau’s tax hikes raised prices. Canadians are paying more for in interest than they are paying for food. Brutal. 👇 Justin Trudeau is not worth the cost.
Paul Vieira@paulvieira

How cash-strapped are Canadian households? Canadians are spending 7% of their income on interest, versus 6% on food and drink, says economist David Rosenberg, following a review of national-accounts data. On WSJ wires:

For the people in the back who are still not understanding this: Canada's housing unaffordability is cause by Liberal's mass immigration policies. Even Stats Canada is admitting it now as national rent index went up 8.9% y/y. We don't need to spend billions of taxpayer dollars subsidizing shitboxes. We just need to cut mass immigration.

I can't believe anyone would be willing to throw away the stable, strong Liberal government we have & all the policies they've put in place that benefit all Canadians. And for what? A grifter with no policies and nothing to show for his decades in parliament.
AMK@Katplns

I am gutted today. Gutted for @lesliechurch who is a good person and genuinely deserved to win the St Paul's riding. Gutted that the @liberal_party, doing a good job, haven't been able to stop the non-stop rhetoric, lies, & nastiness of the Cons, & defeated by the future of 🇨🇦.

I can confidently tell you that outside of a few minor surface changes, a Poilievre gov't will not change your life one bit. He won't fix housing, he won't run a surplus nor end the deficit. He won't stop immigration. He won't leave the UN. He won't even touch the CBC.

The loss of St.Paul’s hurts - no doubt about it. However, we could not have had a better candidate than @lesliechurch . She deserves huge respect and admiration from everyone. After a little rest, I suspect we will hear from her again! @liberal_party #cdnpoli

The Canadian Media helped to bring down the Liberals last night, with their divisive statements about Trudeau, feeding into their fantasies about getting rid of him. Buckle up Toronto. You thought Ford was bad…wait for the rhetoric to worsen from Poilievre.
