Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet, chaired by King Salman, renews its affirmation that the Kingdom will never hesitate to take all measures necessary to protect its security, preserve its stability, and safeguard the safety of its citizens and residents.
The Cabinet “praised the high capabilities of the armed forces in defending the country and protecting its achievements and resources,” according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Abu Dhabi Is Using Gulf Security to Pressure Cairo: Accusations Grow That MBZ Is Trading Egyptian Military Protection for a Sudan Deal Serving Emirati Interests
Reports surrounding the Egyptian military presence inside the UAE have triggered growing outrage and regional controversy after accusations intensified against Mohammed bin Zayed for allegedly using Gulf security arrangements and Egyptian air support as leverage to push a political dialogue in Sudan between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces. The key actors in this unfolding crisis include the UAE, which continues expanding its military and political influence through regional security alliances and strategic deals, Egypt, which has strengthened its military presence inside the Emirates, and Sudan, which has increasingly become an open arena for regional power struggles and geopolitical competition.
The sensitivity of the issue escalated further after Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi visited Al Dhafra Air Base and inspected Egyptian forces stationed there, at the same time that reports intensified regarding Emirati efforts to reshape the political balance inside Sudan through arrangements viewed by many observers as serving Abu Dhabi’s broader regional agenda. These developments reinforced perceptions that the UAE is no longer relying solely on economic and political influence, but is increasingly using Arab military alliances and security partnerships as tools of pressure and leverage to restructure regional files according to its own strategic interests.
The Emirati role became particularly visible through the growing linkage between Gulf security coordination and political maneuvering connected to the Sudan conflict, as Abu Dhabi seeks to expand its regional influence following the Iran war and the rising fragility of Gulf security. These moves also fueled broader concerns that military bases, defense agreements, and regional security frameworks are increasingly being transformed into instruments for imposing political agendas that go far beyond the traditional concept of collective Arab security.
Evidence of the sensitivity surrounding this trajectory emerged through the timing of the Egyptian military deployment inside the UAE alongside growing diplomatic activity connected to Sudan negotiations, as well as increasing regional fears that security crises are being used to redraw regional influence and political alignments. The expansion of military alliances outside traditional regional frameworks has also intensified concerns regarding the future stability of the Middle East and the growing role of Gulf powers in shaping conflicts across Arab countries.
The result is that the region appears to be entering a far more dangerous and complicated phase in which military alliances, political bargaining, and regional influence struggles are becoming deeply interconnected. What is unfolding today no longer reflects only expanding security cooperation between Cairo and Abu Dhabi, but also reveals the growing use of military and economic leverage to pressure regional actors in highly sensitive conflicts such as Sudan and Gulf security, at a time when fears are rising that these policies could push the region toward deeper instability, fragmentation, and geopolitical confrontation.

**Key areas where Iran is widely reported to play a destabilizing role (per Western gov'ts, think tanks like CFR/SWP, and open-source analyses):**
- **Yemen**: Arms/training to Houthis, enabling Red Sea shipping attacks.
- **Lebanon**: Major backing of Hezbollah's arsenal and operations.
- **Iraq**: Support for Shiite militias influencing politics and targeting U.S. forces.
- **Syria**: Long-term aid to Assad regime (pre-2024 fall).
- **Gaza/West Bank**: Funding and arms to Hamas/PIJ.
- **Gulf/Israel**: Proxy clashes, direct 2026 strikes, and nuclear tensions.
Extent and intent are debated—Tehran frames it as "Axis of Resistance" self-defense. Broader African/European/Far East roles appear more limited or indirect per available reports.

The test is way behind it. It's still - not standing only - it's flourishing.
In the long term it will be glorified for having been the ONE and ONLY state in the region to put up a fight, while the entire "neighborhood" ran away like a bunch of mice.

Reality on the ground proves to everyone that size hardly matters at all.
Saudi Arabia has been hit more than once, yet it still doesn’t have the nerve to declare war. All the media spin about “striking Iran” is just noise - at best they hit a sparrow, and even that was more about keeping up appearances with the UAE than anything real.
What are they actually doing? Calling for “de-escalation,” “a truce,” “some kind of long-term settlement”, dressing it all up with an ideology that didn’t even exist two months ago. Just hysterical PR campaigns.
There’s an old Arabic saying that sums it up perfectly:
العنقود اللي معلق بهالهوى اللي ما يقدرش يطوله بيقول انه مش مستوي...
(Alow me to translate) -
“The grapevine hanging just out of reach is always called unripe..."
That’s the kingdom right now - and the king has no clothes.
