#bhafc Thread of active ex Brighton players inc u23s etc current status as of end of this season. Im interested in how all our ex's get on, life of a pro footballer is interesting, varied and prob quite challenging at times.

@Jwiesel13 @stephmce sometimes the tie will be a loss for one side but win for the other. get your head round that. you dont need to have lots of goals, touchdowns, dunks etc to appreciate great sport. unless youve been brought up on that and as a consequence your sport appreciation relies W or L

@stephmce Absolutely agree. Ties are ridiculous and shouldn’t ever be encouraged in sports. 2 teams show up to play, one wins and one loses, that’s how it always should be. Ties are soft

I’m just a “dumb” American who doesn’t understand soccer..but tell me again how the United States wouldn’t be able to compete with England in the World Cup who just tied 0-0 with Ghana…

But its not really a world cup without a decent geographical spread of countries i dont think it should change. i was just trying to explain to an american

Can a soccer person explain to me how all these rando countries are in the World Cup... but China, India, Italy, etc didn't make the cut?

@GullLondon @Greg_P_C @neosoirETH @ClimbingCoachX How do you determine whonis the better team if it is not letting thwm play against each other? That is th qualification system. If you want to include earlier merit etc it would be an unfair system.

@neosoirETH @GullLondon @ClimbingCoachX Italy and Denmark, the 2 UEFA nations in the world top 21 who failed to qualify didn’t do so because they lost to Bosnia (64th in the world) and Czech Republic (40th in the world). They had their chance to qualify and failed. That’s on them.

You say Italy deserves it and Cape Verde doesn’t. Well, until they play “10 or more times” we wont be able to prove your point. Because one match isn’t enough for you.

I dont care. but this is not the best 48 teams in the world. and thats OK. iys the world Cup. football is a low scoring game. its part of its beauty. thats why there can be upsets.

Idk what would happen against Cape Verde, but Spain drew against them. Isn’t Spain better that Italy? Your whole argument is biased. Every league has rules, and those rules define whose better/best.

Thing is you and the OP are giving us an argument without giving arguments. If you say for example Italy is better than Ecuador, then how can you justify it?
