We’re screwed as a country.

Fast fashion trained us to chase variety. But most people eventually settle into a uniform— a few pieces they trust, wear often, and stop thinking about. That shift is interesting. Because maybe the future of clothing isn’t owning more. Maybe it’s owning better.

The smallest details decide whether something gets worn once— or becomes part of someone’s everyday life. That difference is what we’ve been chasing.

The more we worked on this, the more we realised simplicity is deceptive. A plain T-shirt sounds easy— until you start obsessing over: fit, fabric, breathability, weight, stretch, neckline, drape.

Softness was part of it. Breathability too. But more than anything— it stayed comfortable longer. And once we experienced that difference, it was hard to ignore.

After months of trying different fabrics, we kept coming back to the same question: What actually feels good after a full day of wear? Not just in a trial room. Not just for the first hour. That’s what led us towards bamboo blends.

I’ve grown up around yarns and fabrics, evening were spent making mountains of bags and cartons full of wool in my family business based in Ludhiana, and packing garments used to be “fun”. Being a third generation entrepreneur, getting back into garments seems so natural.

But it doesn’t have to be. There are ways to retain softness while improving breathability. To keep that natural feel— but make it work better across a full day. That’s where material choice becomes interesting. Not replacing cotton. But evolving it.

What felt great in the morning doesn’t feel the same by evening. That’s not a flaw. It’s just how the material behaves. The problem is—we’ve accepted that as normal.

Cotton isn’t the problem. But on its own, it isn’t the full answer either.
