I'll watch each level somewhat evenly, but I'm most excited about AAA Indianapolis. Should have a pretty strong offense and some nice pitching too.
AA Altoona made the playoffs last year. Fun to watch

Some now hates me or my opinions but I can't stand how a great Country artist quits one of the most beautiful music genres in the world like Sturgill Simpson it's been doing through the years. I'm listening to this gem and thinking it beats all Sturgill's recordings one by one.

@GusD44 I know emotions run high when it comes to patriotism and backing your own country in these types of contests. I shared my thinking, but understand that others would disagree.
I'm sure I'll get accused of jumping on the bandwagon, but I'm of course backing the USA here on out.

Eight of the top ten international players signed by Ben Cherington are from the Dominican Republic.
The Pirates have several Dominican players on this year’s club, including Oneil Cruz, Marcell Ozuna, Dennis Santana, Gregory Soto, and Johan Ramirez.
For such a comparatively small country, the DR looms enormously over the sport. It is no surprise that its players pour everything into the WBC.
Baseball is more than a game there. For many Dominicans, it represents national identity and one of the clearest paths to economic mobility.
In a country of just over 11 million people, where poverty still remains a real part of daily life for many families, players who reach the majors are proof that a different future is possible.
This is one of the reasons I’m rooting for the DR tonight, even as I cheer on my man Skenes.

@reach_baseball It was 5-8 with Japan at the plate and a runner on. He said “it’s okay to give up a home run here”. That would have made it a one run game with Ohtani due up in the ninth. He said some other dumb shit that stopped me in my tracks but I forget what it was

Much better between the tackles. Is more decisive and runs downhill with real power.
Can be a true hammer and wear defenders down. Good at creating on his own. Fits the style McCarthy wants to play.
That’s not to say Gainwell is bad. I’d take Rico over him for this team.

Why does this narrative exist? It’s free agency. 99% of teams don’t even let young stars get near FA. We are signing people on 3 year deals not sacrificing the future on them.
