I watch guys lose 3 to 5 years to misdiagnosis of SIBO. They lose 20 to 40 percent of their free testosterone. They drop 2 to 4 pounds of lean mass a year because of chronic inflammation and hormone dysfunction And they waste tens of thousands on TRT, peptides, and supplements that the body isn't even able to use I've looked at over 500 gut panels from high-performing guys The pattern is ALWAYS the same: 1. Endotoxins leak into your blood and shut down your Leydig cells (goodbye testosterone) 2. Gut enzymes recycle your estrogen 3. Bacterial byproducts spike your brain fog Then there is no getting healing or improving so the discouragement feels as if you're stuck in a forever loop Let me give you three lab markers that prove your gut is destroying your performance. Marker 1: Elevated D-Lactate on an Organic Acids Test. This is a neurotoxic byproduct of bacterial fermentation. It crosses the blood-brain barrier. It is the exact reason you get brain fog after meals. No SSRI or nootropic is going to fix this. Marker 2: Elevated Beta-glucuronidase on a GI Map. This is a bacterial enzyme that unpacks the estrogen your liver just tried to get rid of. It dumps it right back into your bloodstream. You are literally recycling estrogen while trying to build muscle. You can take all the DIM you want, but you cannot outrun a gut that reloads the gun every time you eat. Marker 3: A flatline methane curve on a tri-gas breath test. If your methane sits above 10 ppm and barely moves, your migrating motor complex is paralyzed. Your small intestine has stopped sweeping itself clean. Until you turn the conveyor belt back on, every gut protocol you try will fail within 90 days. Guaranteed. Bonus marker: Low stool secretory IgA. This means your mucosal immune defense is shot. The bacteria didn't just show up, they completely outlasted your immune system. If your practitioner misses this, they have no idea how aggressive your protocol actually needs to be. The worst part? The internet advice for SIBO actively makes men worse. More fiber just feeds the hydrogen producers. Greek yogurt and kombucha wreck your histamine load. Standard probiotics drop into a methane-dominant gut and just throw gasoline on the fire. You aren't failing. The advice you are getting is just wrong. Here is the biggest mistake I see guys make: Taking ZMA, magnesium, and zinc before bed while running a gut protocol. Biofilms are the shields bacteria build to protect themselves. They build them using magnesium, calcium, and zinc. You are literally handing the bacteria the mortar to build their walls every single night. Mistake two: Ignoring those biofilms entirely. Standard biofilm busters are a joke. We use a very specific uncaoted aspirin strategy that dissolves exactly where the overgrowth lives. It shatters the biofilm architecture and drops COX-2 inflammation in one move. The form and timing are everything. You have to break the shield before you can kill the bug. Mistake three: Using generic prokinetics. Ginger and artichoke extract are not going to move the needle when your gut is paralyzed by methane. We use a highly targeted thyroid intervention to directly force smooth muscle contraction in the small bowel. It is supervised, short, and precise. Mistake four: Skipping the repair phase. If I were looking to become wildly successful as a Real Estate Agent. I’d do what @cashrulesNC touched on yesterday. Pick an area you’re looking to take over as the perceived top dog in RE Sales. Start buying the houses personally and flipping them. Yes, even if the margins aren’t great. You’ll start to go nuclear with people calling you to either list their house, or ask you to help them buy a house. Other agents will hate you. That’s how you know you’ll be on top soon.
