The very conversation that incited Harris to run in 2019 was “remember there’s a #2”.

Then maybe you should actually stick to the facts and not try to interject your own personal feelings about what’s going on into a system that was built long before you and will probably last long after you. But at least you came out with the insults so we figured out who’s losing and knows it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Objectively, all things considered, and this is lowkey pissing in the wind at this juncture, but I don't think this is an unreasonable baseline for a Harris 2028 GE campaign tbh.

Negative. Pete, because we can start with the first for the sake of time, has NEVER ran for VP, nor have any of the others. I really don't think you have an understanding of the political workings of American government. NO ONE RUNS FOR VP. They are CHOSEN as a running mate by someone RUNNING for PRESIDENT. They then debate other VP candidate who were themselves chosen by others who are RUNNING for PRESIDENT. You cannot RUN for VP. It's simply not a thing. How do you NOT know this, yet seem to have a huge opinion on it. Seriously, read a little, because anything else you have on the matter should probably wait until your ignorance has been rectified.

USA Polling has me blocked, but yes, when you put it out on the bar chart, certain pictures become clear. Harris is the one of these people with cross generational appeal. Cortez usually skews younger, Newsom consistently skews older. But Harris is the only one with a decent foothold in all of them.

@mentalext @ZaidJilani What it does is illustrate she punched above her weight. Saved the Dems from an 80s-style wipeout. Turned a surefire 10-point loss into a toss-up. Saved 3 senate seats and 20+ house seats. All in just 107 days.

@GypsyZuls @ZaidJilani She was definitely a front runner at the beginning. Betting markets had her top 3 for quite some time. There is no primary election for VP. The winner of the presidential primary selects their VP.

@mentalext @ZaidJilani She outperformed all incumbents worldwide in the 2024, in a global inflationary, anti-incumbent, rightward wave. States where she did have time to campaign moved left in relation to the country and the world.
