I am THRILLED to announce that I have started training at WVUA 23 in Tuscaloosa to eventually start weekends later this summer! It has been a dream of mine since the 2nd grade to be a broadcast meteorologist, and though we have a bit more work to do, I am so happy to take this massive leap in the right direction. I am so excited to start serving West Alabama very soon…and don’t worry, that orange tie will stay on as long as it can. #wvua23 #alwx

Updated El Niño forecast for this summer/autumn is "off the charts" EXTREME with "boiling red 🔴" map colors along Equatorial central and eastern Pacific Ocean. This is "Code Red" for the Earth's climate system going into Summer 2026 --> suppressed Atlantic hurricane activity.

Wednesday could be a sneaky setup for a late-afternoon/evening tornado threat across portions of Mississippi and Alabama. Damaging winds will certainly be the main threat with what should be a QLCS storm mode, but any isolated cells could rotate and produce a tornado or two. #alwx #mswx

* Updated* Thoughts for Wednesday ⛈️ Risk: The Signal appears it’s there & likely it will occur. Timing & exact placement still a little sketchy but I am watching both Jets to *phase* and increase in energy. Both SPC/CSU show it. My placement aligns where best dT/Wind overlaps

Down the Road ⛈️ Chc: (Weds May 6th) A quiet pattern for next several days til mid-Week. Looks like a polar and subtropical Jet will try to *phase* together that could yield to higher wind energy at Mid Levels. Confidence is still low at the moment as watch pattern recognition.
