Fire Warnings are squarely in the middle of the Isolated Dry Thunderstorm Outlook area. 🎯

DRY LIGHTNING-INDUCED FIRES ⚡️ Thunderstorms moved through Amarillo, TX this evening and ignited several fires, as seen in the Fire Temperature channel. 🔥 Fire Warnings are in effect. ⚠️ The KAMA radar clearly shows what happened: elevated thunderstorms produced dry lightning, then strong outflows stoked the flames. 💨 This area was highlighted in the D1 Fire Weather Outlook - a job well done by SPC! 👏

@WxFront As a weather freak from New Zealand I love to watch storm chasers both winter & summer, this will be a God send. Cant wait for Android & laptop, was wondering have you thought of adding the chasers you have on board as different colours so we can see where they are as they chase.

RRFS-MPAS & REFS in WeatherFront With the recent announcement that several models will be retired later this year, all eyes turn toward the RRFS-MPAS and REFS. You can view BOTH datasets in WF. You can even compare them with the legacy RRFS-FV3 using the Model Comparison tool!

Severe Storms are BACK on the menu this week, with 6 straight days of STORMS expected. Now, lets not get too ahead of ourselves here (I love doing that). Wednesday through Friday currently look more scattered and localized - nothing that has me overly (overtly????) concerned right now. But Saturday through Monday? Those are the days to WATCH 👀. We will see more widespread Outbreaks those days with Tornadoes likely. Its time to LOCK IN. I’ll be monitoring these setups like a HAWK, my brotheren 🦅 Getting back into the Weather graphics game, let me know what you think in the comments!!
