E há quem goste de procurar semelhanças entre o Império Habsburgo e a UE (letterenfonds.nl/en/books/it-wo… da @CarolineGruyter). Por outro, à época não lhe ter sido claro. Dois argumentos para a nossa atenção.

@jm_jonet @luisjorge @HBurnay Por isso afirmo que ele não conseguia perceber esses novos fenómenos que tiveram o epicentro em Viena. Ele era um cidadão habsburgico e não um alemão da Áustria, como se designavam os alemães do império. A Autobiografia de Canetti é mais lúcida, mas é um relato muito interessante
