I hope service providers are understanding when customers hang up on them thinking they're scammers. Just today I got this call: Them: Hi, this is Allie from your electricity company. Me: Hi? Them: Is this Jason's phone? Me: No. Them: Are you Mrs. Greenberg? Me: Yep. Them: We sent you a note in your latest electric bill. Did you get it? Me: *hangs up* I really hope it wasn't our actual electric company because I'd feel bad, but I don't even handle our bills, and she didn't use the company's title or even know whose phone she was calling. Super fishy, Allie.

It always starts with a word. A label. A slur. A soul stripped down to a category. Once a person becomes a that, our own humanity dims with theirs. The image of God in them gets harder to see. Then impossible to see. Then easy to ignore. Scripture warned us. “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” What we call people is what we believe about them. What we believe about them is what we’ll one day allow to be done to them. Strip the humanity from a word, and you strip the mercy from a nation. x.com/JayTC53/status…

This is the story of the first (and only) time someone asked me to marry them. When I was 8 years old, my dad was the commander on his ship in the Navy. We were at his Captain's house for a party and his son was around my age. He saw me and he was immediately smitten. We spent the evening catching June bugs outside in the San Diego Summer. He had an adorable laugh and an amazing smile. Throughout us playing together, he kept asking me to marry him. Eventually, I said yes, but I was far too nervous at the time to kiss him. So, I said in order to make the marriage ceremony official, we could hold his pet lizards together. Yes, two tiny geckos he kept in his room (I really loved lizards, so it was a win for me, too). So, we said our vows while sitting on his bed, and we held those lizards together for a good minute or so before putting them back into their terrarium. We went to go sit back down on his bed and after a moment, he reached over and held my hand. I just remember his big smile turning sheepish. Almost like he couldn't believe he'd done it. He was holding a girl's hand! He was so proud of himself. It was the cutest thing. Back then, that was how boys learned to be bold with the girls they had crushes on. He was really sweet. I wonder what he's doing now. 🥰🦎

This man is a doctor I absolutely don't want. If you are too stupid to listen, you are too stupid to be a doctor. Good example of why most of my doctors are women, over the last 70 years there have been too many male doctors who just couldn't or wouldn't listen. Then they treat you for something you don't have.

⛸️This woman just got back from her third date and says she won’t be seeing him again. She had been crystal clear with her date — who is also a doctor — that she has vertigo and does NOT ice skate. He knew it and agreed to other activities… then still booked two full hours on the ice, pressured her onto it, and spent the whole time showing off laps while she hugged the wall dizzy and miserable. She finally left mid-date. Ignoring someone’s explicit boundaries — especially when they’re health-related — tells you everything you need to know. Have you ever had a date (or anyone) completely blow past a clear “no” you gave them, especially something health-related? Or what’s the earliest red flag that made you walk away?

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a blue button or NOT pressing a blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If fewer than 50% of people press the blue button, only the people who do NOT press the blue button survive. Do you press the blue button? Or do you NOT press the blue button?

There’s this show Ii watch. I won’t bother with the name because the name isn’t the point. It’s set in a small frontier town a long time ago with wooden storefronts, oil lamps, dresses that sweep the dust, men who tip their hats and women who bake bread before sunrise because somebody has to. I keep catching myself crying over it; not because anything wild happens. That’s the thing. Nothing flashy happens. A child gets sick and the whole town prays. A husband dies in a mine and the widow keeps going by selling baked goods to provide for her family. A stranger rides in and somebody gives him a bed. A schoolteacher walks home in the snow because she said she would visit a family, and she keeps her word. That’s the whole show. People keeping their word. People showing up. People handing each other pie plates and praying out loud and forgiving things they had every right to hold onto. Somewhere around the third season I realized I wasn’t watching a period drama. I was watching a funeral for something we used to have. A way of living where your neighbors knew your name and your pastor knew your struggles and your work meant something because it fed somebody you loved. We traded it for algorithms, square footage or for whatever it is we think we’re chasing. But the thing is, every value that town runs on is still available to us. Endurance. Grace. Community. Honest work. Gratitude for a warm supper and a porch and the people around the table. Nobody took those from us. We set them down and we can pick them back up any day we decide to.

Hey friends! Had a fun epiphany today. You guys know how much I love dad jokes… but mom jokes? We’re a bit more complicated, so I’ve decided that “mom jokes” are actually riddles to solve…… A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires. The second is full of assassins with loaded guns. The third is full of lions that haven’t eaten in three years. Which room is safest for him? Drop your guesses below! I’ll reply to every comment with the answer once the post has run its course. Thanks for playing! ❤️

In both state and federal law there should be no statute-of-limitations for any sex crime, child or adult. Every elected official that votes against that should have a really deep investigation into their life done. Laws should be put forth ending all wrist slap sentences and probation, any elected official that votes against that should have a really deep investigation into their life done. If you are voting against just laws, then you are probably doing the crime or protecting someone you know who is doing the crime.

I was raped when I was fourteen.
That single sentence still tastes like iron and ash in my mouth every time I say it. It carved something permanent into my nervous system…the bone-deep knowledge that power plus opportunity equals predation. So when I watch the very men and women who write the laws that bind the rest of us turn out to be the same fucking predators, using congressional slush funds…our money…to buy the silence of the girls they rape and assault, my rage isn’t performative. It’s cellular. These are not “bad apples.” These are pathological specimens of the highest order: narcissistic sociopaths whose criminogenic profiles read like a textbook on elite sexual offending. Grooming, coercion, post-assault financial domination…classic power-based predation wrapped in the armor of legislative immunity. They don’t just commit the crimes; they legislate the cover-up. They draft the statutes that govern consent, reporting timelines, and statute-of-limitations while simultaneously ensuring their own victims can be paid off with taxpayer dollars and buried under NDAs thicker than the Constitution they swore to uphold. That is not hypocrisy. That is institutionalized sadism. It is the deliberate weaponization of the social contract against the most vulnerable. And the blackest part? They refuse…categorically refuse…to release the names of the congress members who have drained that secret fund. They hide behind procedural fig leaves while the rest of us are expected to live under the laws they carve out with the same hands that signed the checks to their victims. That isn’t governance. That is racketeering with a gavel. It is a criminal enterprise operating inside the very chamber that claims moral supremacy over the rest of the republic. I don’t want thoughts and prayers. I do not want fucking sympathy either. I don’t want another blue-ribbon panel. I want the names. I want the receipts. I want every single one of these legislative rapists stripped of office, stripped of pension, stripped of the illusion that their pathology entitles them to rule over the daughters of citizens they view as disposable. Because if the people who make the law are allowed to rape with impunity and then tax us to keep their mouths shut, then the law itself is just another instrument of violation. I survived once.
This country doesn’t get to tell me I have to survive its lawmakers too.
 Not anymore.
Release the fucking names.
Or admit that the United States Congress is running a protected pedophile-and-rapist welfare program on the public dime. 💀🔪🩸
