Tucker Carlson told the NYT that U.S. political leaders are normalizing mass civilian killing, warning that dismissing deaths is “the language of genocide” that “results in genocide itself” and “has.” He contrasted figures like Nick Fuentes with elected officials who wield real power, arguing U.S. policies are enabling the killing of innocent people right now, while the public is being pushed to ignore it. While he did not name Gaza, Carlson has in recent months repeatedly criticized the U.S.-backed Israeli genocide in the Palestinian territory.

They have a mental issue

Following James Gunn’s Superman underperforming, Supergirl now looks like it may have its own Kryptonite. Matt Belloni is not sold on Supergirl, and if his box office outlook is anywhere close, DC Studios and James Gunn could have another major problem on their hands. On The Town’s 2026 Summer Blockbuster Confidence Ranking, the Puck News founder gave Supergirl one of the lowest scores on the board and said he expects the movie to make only around $300 million to $350 million worldwide. That could be a major issue depending on the budget. Using the industry standard 2.5x break-even rule, if Supergirl costs around $150 million, it would need roughly $375 million worldwide to break even. A $300 million global finish would put it about $75 million short. If the budget is closer to $200 million, Supergirl would need around $500 million worldwide to break even. In that case, a $300 million worst-case scenario finish could mean a loss of $200 million or more.
