We have loved reading the story; ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. Today the children painted their very own hungry caterpillars made from salt-dough 👏🏻🐛🦋💕

We are really enjoying learning about the life cycle of a caterpillar 🐛 The children have been closely observing the caterpillars as they grow and today they were sleeping in their cocoons! 👀 I’m sure the children will be able to tell you at home what happens next… 🦋

Free Writing Friday was wonderful! The children had such an amazing afternoon letting their creativity shine! I am so proud of our little authors. One child told the story of Amelia Earhart imagining she flew on a dragon instead of a plane. Astounding! @CressidaCowell thank you!

'We are the Baddies and this is our castle!' Amazing creativity from the children of F2JS today! The girls built and labelled their very own villainous hideout, inspiring the other children to get building and writing. I couldn't move for castles! @Humboinfants @OdysseyTrust

1CN had a fantastic #worldbookday2022 We really enjoyed reading Look Up! by Nathan Bryon. We made flyers to encourage people to come and watch the Phoenix Meteor Shower, and then we created meteor shower artwork! ☄️🌠🌌 @Humboinfants

Some amazing work here from our youngest creatives! Art is such a powerful tool for developing the imagination. I can almost feel the wind rustling through the branches of these trees!

This week in art club, we headed back out the the playground to create some stick sculptures! 'I made a dragon! I used sticks for the wings, and a leaf for the fire coming out of his mouth!'
