I was saddened to hear today of the passing of Prof Erik Thorsby, who together with Flemming Kissmeyer discovered HLA-C in 1970. Erik was a Councillor for the International HLA & Immunogenetics Workshop and President of EFI 2002 - 2004 @EFI_Office.
