EARLY CRYPTO PROJECT @plether_fi Plether is a DeFi protocol that lets users trade the strength of the US dollar onchain. By depositing USDC, users receive two tokens: plDXY-BULL (profits if the dollar gets stronger) and plDXY-BEAR (profits if the dollar gets weaker). The protocol is always fully backed by USDC, so users can redeem their funds at any time. While the combined value of both tokens stays fixed, each token's market price can change based on demand. Plether tracks the US Dollar Index (DXY) using major currencies like the euro, yen, pound, Canadian dollar, Swedish krona, and Swiss franc. It gives users an easy way to speculate on or hedge against changes in the value of the US dollar without leaving DeFi. The protocol is built on Ethereum technology using Solidity and integrates tools like Chainlink, Pyth, Curve, and Morpho. It also includes features such as leveraged trading, staking, yield opportunities, and multiple security protections. Plether is still in its early stages. It recently launched its Arbitrum testnet with updated branding and is focused on becoming a platform for onchain dollar index trading.
