🚨🚨BREAKING: Black man Ammarin Tunstall, 35, dragged across the pavement like a rag doll by Monroeville PD while unresponsive… then dies in custody hours later. Video shows officers throwing him face-down into the car. Family says he was on his knees, tased & pepper-sprayed multiple times. Tunstall’s body has been released to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy. A cause of death has not yet been released. Once the SBI investigation is complete, findings will be turned over to the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.

Nobody thinks otherwise, so if anyone was already typing “What did you expect, ‘Citizen Kane?’” then I can stop you right there. Children can enjoy slop — I should know, I grew up on dreck like 'The Care Bears Movie' and 'GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords' — but that doesn’t mean kids wouldn’t also appreciate a proper meal. Nobody complains when a kids movie is great. When a kids movie has interesting characters and an involving plot and a theme worth exploring, nobody says the makers of 'KPop Demon Hunters' screwed up and should have made it worse. @MovieUshermx @NextBestPicture Kids movies have had character development and story beats. Like pretty much all the Pixar and Disney movies millennials grew up on had them. The medium has to be dumbed down for kids when it's proven to be understood before.

THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE was even more frustrating for me than the first film. The vibrant Illumination animation continues to be a perfect fit for this world and its characters and the voice cast, both returning favorites and new additions, delivers plenty of charm, with Yoshi, Baby Bowser, and Starfox standing out as highlights. Yet beneath all the easter eggs and spectacle, there’s little story or emotional resonance; it seems more focused on nostalgia and merchandising than forming any kind of a meaningful narrative. It’s just one action setpice after another to maintain attention spans, leaving the overall experience feeling hollow. While many viewers will undoubtedly have fun with it, for me it was very disappointing.

@TheWrap People will read this and still think that just because it's a kid movie gives writers a reason to be lazy with story and characters as if Disney and Pixar in the 90's/00's taught us they can do that and still be a good children's movie
