March 11, 1833 marks the founding of @HamiltonPolice Service making it one of North America’s oldest police services. The legacy continues, as new recruits head to the Ontario Police College to carry forward nearly two centuries of community service. It was my privilege to meet you at your signing ceremony.

After responding to a domestic disturbance, Cst. Gabriele learned the victim couldn't afford to repair the doors that were kicked in during the incident. Wanting to ensure the victim felt safe in her home, Cst. Gabriele returned the next day with his own tools, purchased the necessary materials, and repaired both doors himself. His actions reflect a commitment to going above and beyond to support victims and community safety. Learn more about why Cst. Our Executive Board along side our CAO and Legal Counsel attended the 35th Annual Police Employment Conference. The conference represented both member and employer perspectives providing timely insights and practical guidance on today’s most pressing police workplace issues.

Thanks to @mciriellompp for spending time at our Association office this week, learning what we do to support our members. The constant support you show for our sworn and civilian members, policing and all first responders is very much appreciated.

New Sworn Director Lori attended the @PoliceAssocON’s Foundations of Executive Leadership Workshop which provides new board members with the foundations of association work. She joined over 40 association executives from 25 member associations. Thanks to @YRPAca for hosting.

Off to the Ontario Police College they go. Our newest class of recruits have been completing online learning for the past 4 weeks. They will start at OPC next week and begin more hands on and scenario based learning. Best of luck at OPC and we look forward to welcoming them back.

🎄Merry Christmas 🎄 to all our members, wishing you & your families a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. We hope you all get to spend time enjoying these holidays with loved ones. A big thank you to our members and all first responders who are working throughout these holidays.

We hosted our Kids Christmas Party, welcoming members & their children to a fun day of Santa, presents, face painting, bouncy castles, magic shows & more. Donations were collected and donated to Mackenzie’s Legacy of Kindness Donation Drive benefiting the Glanbrook Food Bank.

Congratulations to our 20 new recruits who graduated from Ontario Police College. They are back in Hamilton getting further training before being going on patrol with their Coach officer. Be healthy, be safe and have fun. Thank you to @MCirielloMPP for joining us.
